>>Likewise, direct communication via social media is the future.

FDR was the first President to win using the new communications medium of his day, radio.

JFK was the first President to win using the new communications medium of his day, television.

I would argue that DJT is the first President to win using the new communications medium of his day, the Internet and social media. BHO may have used them as tools, but DJT was the first President to win because of them.

Oh, and VDH is all wet on this, and I say that as a VDH fan. I have a few of his books (all here should read Carnage and Culture), have been on his ping lists forever, etc.

Because personal dueling with journalists, celebrities and politicians is not only becoming superfluous, but it is now distracting Trump's audiences from a growing record of achievement.

I can't imagine saying that VDH misses the point, ever, but here he does. All the distraction is the reason he has accomplished so much. If he tried to do all these things with fanfare and Rose Garden theatricals they would be all tied up in the opposition and all the screaming in the Press would be about these things. The Press is ignoring what he is doing because of the Tweet noise and THEREFORE: these things are getting done. We do not want the MSM paying a lot of attention to Trump's Accomplishments. If MSM were paying attention the accomplishments would be twisted and many would be stymied.

I wonder what Trump could accomplish as a general on the battlefield?

It’s infuriating to me that Trump’s people don’t have a Twitter account or site with running examples of all the fake news and media bias from day one of his Administration. Heck, we can start with the transition. When Trump just calls it #FakeNews, the media & liberals say he’s saying that because he doesn’t like the coverage. This would destroy that argument.

Disagree with the author. Trump’s twitter is the only way to combat fake news about him.
