Dang, there has to be a deadman’s response from the North Koreans if Kim is taken out.
If we went in there without it being 110% thought out with contingency it would be disaster.
A single Nuke would do horrible damage to the US.

Five officials no less, former and inside have confirmed that the US has and are creating military plans regarding North Korea. There I can do it too.
Land war with whom? S. Korea? Norks do not possess a navy to execute land war on US soil. And we would be crazy to fight another land war in Korea.

The Trump administration is willing to use our armed forces to set North Korea straight, but top level chess is still the preferred tactic, as it should be.

Probably nobody. It's always a safe bet that the Pentagon always has several plans, ranging from nothing to total annihilation. They probably have several plans for lots of countries besides N. Korea too.
So yes, we probably do have a "bloody nose" plan in our bag of options in case the CIC calls for us to act.
I would damn well expect a contigency plan for NK, not to mention Russia, Syria, Iran, etc.
Un is even more paranoid than Hillary Clinton, which is saying something. Trump has been yanking Un’s chain for nearly a year. He’s unbalancing Un further every time he gooses him. People might worry that Un will launch a nuclear strike in response, but that’s unlikely. When you’re as paranoid as he is, you don’t want to give a much more powerful enemy an excuse to kill you.
Un’s likeliest response is twofold. He will continue testing, thereby putting pressure on China to rein him in. He will also continue to execute those around him in positions of power. His conviction that one of them will lead a coup against him will increasingly keep him up at night. His only relief will lie in eliminating ‘threats.’
Trump doesn’t strike me as a “bloody nose” sort of a guy. He’ll go for the jugular & the kill, so I think this is more ‘fake news’.
The Norks will kill a bunch of South Koreans if we blow up a launch pad. Sink a ship or something. They’ve done it before and will do it again.
Which reminds me of the Tuco rule, from the Good the Bad and the Ugly: "If you're going to shoot, shoot, don't talk!"
Threatening Tubby with anhiliation only works so far. Threaten him with leaving him alone to lead his country without the tools he and his family have used to keep the people in fear. A bloody nose is pretty scary for a guy who knows his entire existence hinges upon his subjects believing he cannot bleed.
This needs to be far beyond a bloody nose. This needs to be a head shot. We have our great familiar and we need to get it out of the garage and drive it around. Time to kill people and break things real bad.
