My parents and grandparents had a book ‘Teddy Bare’ that came out right after the incident, and it was a brutal indictment of Teddy and Chappaquidick.

Many key Kennedy supporters faulted Gargan for not taking the fall for Kennedy, arguing that had he done so, Kennedy’s presidential prospects would have remained alive. A depressing look in to the mindset of the sycophantic supporters who surround corrupt politicians.
