I don’t recall the MSM ever using the word “alleged” in connection with the golden shower dossier.

So, if one wanted a ‘hit’ accomplished, all that needs to be done is file a serious enough false report with the police and the job is done? Who knew.......

Give him life in prison without parole. Unless extradited to a state where the death penalty is in force.

The man is a jerk but that doesn’t change the fact that a lot of cops these days are harboring frustrated fantasies of Seal Team 6.

A 25-year-old man in California has been arrested over an alleged hoax 911 call that led to police killing an unarmed man in Kansas on Thursday night, authorities said.

He deserves prison time.

So does the police officer who came to the home of an innocent, unarmed man and shot him. Gross incompetence can't be an excuse for the killing of a man.

Saw the press conference. Tragic. But the cops did flunk the drill regardless.

“police said they know that swatting is a trend, but in the case of a 911 call, they always default to believing the caller.”

if this is true, the police involved are idiots and guilty of murder.

Some cop kills an unarmed man for opening his door and it’s the swatter’s fault? BS. This is a trigger happy cop. They should both be put in the same cell.

Hard to believe an up-armored cop was threatened by some kid in his underwear.

i read some of the comments. amazingly (to me), a few comments are in defense of the shooting police officer.

what i did not read (at least in the several dozen comments that i skimmed so far) is any detailed defense of the victim.

It was 6:18 PM, and the victim’s family members were in the home, when the police arrived. the video does not show events prior to the man being already outside on his porch and commanded by police from 20 yards away behind police cars to “show [his] hands!” Next, a police officer shined a bright light beam towards the suspect. Next, a police officer commanded the victim to “walk this way!” The video is grainy, but to me, the man appears to walk towards forward and towards one side of the porch stairs, where there is a handrail. It is an instinctive reflex when approaching stairs after dark to reach for a handrail when descending stairs. It is absolutely (imho) unnatural to descend stairs with arms raised above one’s head— in fact, i imagine it would be regarded as dangerous by any ordinary person to do so, especially after dark, without being given any preparation or good reason, and having a powerful light beam shone in one’s eyes. If there is ice or water on the stairs, the man could slip on the steps, fall, and break his neck. The policeman giving the victim orders appears to consider none of these safety and human instinct factors.

Did the police even bother to identify themselves as police officers to the victim before barking orders at him? the video published does not show it (though it could have happened).

On the topic of the location of the caller, the area code might not give an accurate location if the phone used is a cell phone.

However, the police training is very obviously deficient— the town police were imho negligent. Hopefully the family sues for wrongful death, and wins.
