Rep. King, is apparently one of the few DCians who knows something about lawful, law. Thank you Rep. King!
sacificing the rule of law for foreign criminals, not just for one but millions means our laws are only to be forced on US citizens. So what does that tell us about the value of citizenship? It means we are forced to pay taxes and we are forced to obey the law or get slapped in a prison cage.
Yes, rat party members who are permitted to ignore the law that is viciously enforced only on US citizens.
I didn’t see any mention of fines for people that knowingly hire these criminals.
NO Voting ever!”””
Excellent. We can’t say this enough. Since these foreign criminals have flaunted the law for years, they lose all voting privileges for life, including their children. Keep spreading the word brother.
I am pro-amnesty because I am in favor of freedom for people and realize that the supermajority of the immigrants, fully documented or not, come to America for freedom and to make the world a better place for themselves, their posterity, and everyone. Nevertheless, just like people who break the speed limit, these people are lawbreakers and there needs to be a penalty. As a believer in justice I think the penalty should be just. Thus I urge Congress to pass sensible immigration reform that quickly provides a path to legitimacy, but puts them on the slow track to citizenship behind the rest of the immigrant world, via allowing them to pay a sensible fine. Thus its win-win for all. The government gets revenue. The lovers of freedom that are immigrants get legitimacy. The lovers of freedom get to see that their government is standing up for the principles of freedom, liberty, and the rule of law. The Christian values of loving our neighbor get upheld by our government/people.
Now if I was anti-freedom then I’d say “lets deport them”. But I am pro-freedom so this is how I feel. Also I don’t know a single real Christian who opposes us doing a sensible amnesty program. I do know there are plenty of pretend Christians who deep down are evil or ignorant bigots.
In the meantime the answer on this issue is clear. Its up to Congress to act. Only they, not the President or Courts, make the laws. History will judge them on how they do. I hope they pass a sensible amnesty program. Otherwise they will look like the people who made the Fugitive Slave Act the law of the land - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugitive_Slave_Act_of_1850#New_law.
would strongly suggest that as part of any deal, DACAs be permanently ineligible for any forms of public assistance.””
Yes, and NO VOTING RIGHTS for them or their children ever.
Cf. item #3. Note "severe penalties."
Over 60 million.
Oh; wait...
We did that ourselves.
“Reagan did it, didnt he?”
He sure did. It was a bad idea then, and an even worse idea now.
What would be worse?
Lets hope be endeavors strongly to keep his promises on this issue as well as all the rest of them.
They are fighting him tooth and nail -both parties (The Media and the eGOP)- as well as that large branch of the Media Party; the democrats.
For anyoneincluding the presidentwho believes DACA would ever be the proper thing to do, I have one question:
This thing Trump just did is very interesting. It seems that he got the liberals and the media in a room and asked what is it that you want? This way they have to actually state a policy to the entire country instead of just carefully scripted (hypokrites) sound bites.
... only if he refuses to discuss anything without cameras rolling.
Regardless, he and the Republicans MUST be willing to let the so-called “shutdown” happen, no matter how the MSM might react.
If there’s anything we all should have learned from Reagan’s biggest blunder, it’s THOU SHALT NOT COMPROMISE ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
Nothing wrong with King holding Trump’s feet to the fire.
Your assumption re Trump is way off.
Obama created DACA, the congress wouldn’t touch it. So he did an illegal law breaking EO.
That would be foolish.
How about chain deportation?
“...come to America for freedom and to make the world a better place for themselves, their posterity, and everyone.”
Everyone except for the citizens of the country that they illegally invaded.
If you are pro-amnesty, your are anti USA.
“...The “lovers of freedom” get to see that their government is standing up for...”
Stop right there, it is NOT their country. They are usurpers brought here mostly by their parents, and the legions of freshly-raped and abused children who came up through Mexico from further south. Urged on by Obama who should take responsibility for his misdeeds and be jailed.
The parents should look inside themselves and man up and gather their kids (now grown up) and grandkids, aunts, uncles and all chain “migration” insurgents and go back to their countries and fight for FREEDOM there, not here!
Your screed is righ out of leftist/media/dem talking points, and does not reflect the values of Free Republic and for that matter those of a sovereign country.
If you are such a lover of freedom, get some busses and pack them full and take as many of you can of these people back to their countries and help them fight for freedom where they came from.
You can be like Lawrence of Arabia.
