Any breakthrough in the disease is welcome. Other places are trying the treatment, you can read about them in many studies. Happy for this man and hope he remains free of this terrible disease.

Bone marrow genetic engineering is “Traditional Chinese Medicine”? I've shut up a lot of people bragging about the wonders of traditional and herbal medicine by asking "Which improved lifespan more: Herbs and acupuncture in the West, or introducing vaccines and antibiotics to China?"

Already been done in clinical settings with published findings at both Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York and the University of Pennsylvania.
Initial finding is that it's a 100% cure in about 70% of cases, but the dataset is small.

Know a family here in the states who has a young son that had a very grim prognosis. CAR-T was a last experimental approach for him. He currently has no Leukemia cells because of it, and is beginning to do fairly normal activities. If the cells stay absent for 1 year then his prognosis for the future is very bright.

My younger brother died of leukemia at age 37.
Treatment and cure would have been nice back then.

I think both have real value.
Don’t shut out Asian medicines. They have had a long time to work on them, and frankly our medicine is too focused on making a massive profit.
