The shutdown will upset only the people who are forcing the shutdown. Everyone else is likely to be thrilled. We don’t need half these government bureaucrats. Send ‘em home. Don’t let them come back.

These clowns have the majority and won't exercise it.

There could be just one Democrat in the entire Congress, but you can bet he'll fight to the death against the majority.

Seriously, think how much more Trump could get done without all the obstructionists in the way.

The real solution is change the rules and do the country’s business by majority vote.

Non-essential government shut down, hopefully forever, and illegals sent back.

Sounds like a win-win!

The problem is...there’s a continuing resolution that they get paid when the government is again back in business. In other words, it’s a paid vacation!!

"These clowns have the majority and won't exercise it."

Except the the Senate will require 60 votes and not 51. Unless Mitch ditches the filibuster rules.

Democrats need the voters for their future. They cannot allow Trump to win if they can help it. They will play race cards, hate cards, any card that blocks the Republicans from moving the country ahead. They will even take a knee during the State of the Union. They are reckless and desperate to get some power. The media has destroyed its credibility forever by going along with their games.

Who are these unnecessary bums you speak of?

Do you mean the Federal Employees who spend their life supporting the Military? The ones who refurbish the aircraft, Navy ships and subs? The people who write and monitor the contracts to ensure that the war fighters get the products that taxpayers paid for?

Perhaps the tens of thousands of people at the IRS, who have the thankless job of going through each and every return by hand? Sure, the computers scan and file, but a human checks every small, or large company for irregularities.

Perhaps you mean Border Control and INS? Or is it TSA and the air traffic controllers? Remind me again, how many hijackings in the past 6 years? How many attempts have been made since then to smuggle weapons on board aircraft? Trust me, the answer is higher than the press reports.

You are painting every Federal Employee with a very broad brush.

When Republicans shut down the government, the media ran stories about the Grand Canyon being shutdown. This should be a slamdunk for the Stupid Party, but they will blow it.
