WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, a life-long diabetic, was treated by paramedics for low blood sugar at her home in Washington on Friday morning but was able to go to work afterward, a court spokeswoman said.
The 63-year-old Sotomayor, one of the nine-member court’s four liberal justices, was diagnosed as a child with type 1 diabetes and has openly discussed her experience with the chronic illness in the past. She was named to the court in 2009 by Democratic former President Barack Obama.
“Justice Sotomayor experienced symptoms of low blood sugar at her home this morning. She was treated by D.C. Emergency Medical Services and is doing fine,” spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said in a statement. “She came to work, resumed her usual schedule, and will be participating in planned activities over the weekend.”

Pffft, I won't go so soft here. Sotomayor and Kagin are clowns who are a shame to this entire country. It's best to wish the most horrible fate upon them. Justice demands it!
Diabetes is bad news for anyone.
Type 1 is genetic.
Type 2 is self inflicted by maxing out your pancreas.
Thus they deserve very different levels of sympathy.

Sotomayor aside, type 1 is so hard on young ones. They don’t really understand why they’re different. Pray for a cure.

I’m glad she’s OK, but she is contributing to a state of affairs that no paramedic could ever hope to treat.
I will pray for her, but I’ll pray harder for the unborn, Trump and our country.

That is a difficult disability to live with-it requires monitoring all the time, planning activities around it, strict diet, etc. No cruelty here-I hope she is okay.
I remember when the baseball players went on strike because the owners wanted a salary cap. It went on forever and the owners finally made replacement teams. The night (late on a Sunday) before the first games a Judge swooped in and blocked every game. Everyone wondered where does a Judge get the power to block the teams from playing a game? That Judge was the wise Latino.
Many of our finest give their lives to protect our freedom, and not all of them willingly.
May she have her life taken to protect our freedoms also.
When are the CNN squawking heads going to start demanding that she be removed from the bench for health reasons?
You can damned sure bet they would do so if Donald Trump was diagnosed with diabetes.

I don’t see why you are happy or sad that she is OK.
People die every day. Might as well be people that I don’t like and with her we get the death of someone with an evil thought process.
I’d trade her for another Gorsuch any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
.........I’ve experienced low blood sugar several times. It is no joke and will put you down in minutes if you don’t take immediate and regressive action.
