perhaps, but who really knows what those two snakes agreed to or even if the report is close to accurate.

Well we don’t know...but interesting US isn’t saying anything but “concern’...at this juncture....of course our president doesn’t show his hand beforehand...he simply plays it when he’s ready.

Currently looks like neither Russia nor the US is playing in this....rather the Turks and Kurds to defend as they will.

Syria is getting awful crowded. Russia, USA and Turkey, with some Iranians thrown in for good measure, along with Assad, Hizbollah, Kurd rebels, Islamic rebels of various degrees of extremism, Druze, Yazidis and Christians. This is all a few clicks from my house. It’s growing curiouser and curiouser, and more than a little freaky.

Well it’s a serious conflict as Syria as a land mass is a critical nation ‘because of it’s location’ far more than the racial mix. The nation Leaders involved all have vested interests in securing Syria for their own agendas regarding it’s location and what that affords or not each by controlling it..... So none are going to to pull completely out until there’s a ‘border’ understanding......and that’s what is being fought now via Turkey’s Invasion who has always been an enemy of the Kurds....they hate the Kurds.

The problem is Erdogan cannot be trusted at all.....no matter what deals are determined.

Russia must have given Turkey the green light, because Russia controls the airspace over Afrin. The reported deal to exchange Afrin for parts of Idlib would make sense.

Turkey will likely have a much harder time in Afrin than they have in the other parts of Syria that they have previously invaded and are occupying, because the Kurds are better fighters. They have demonstrated that they also have anti-tank missiles, and have been reported to now have anti-air missiles as well - so only high flying jets can operate, now attack helicopters. Turkey can afford to lose a lot more tanks than aircraft.

I saw another report that it was up to three tanks lost so far. That could go on every day, and snipers could be picking off individuals. It will likely be a steady flow of casualties while the Turks are in Afrin, but they can inflict significant damage to critical infrastructure like fuel storage, and then place an economic siege on the region.

Yes..I saw that too ....sickening isn’t it...... but also expected....have to remember the level of the citizens mentality to even think for themselves....doesn’t take much to lead them where the authorities want them.

See the Euphrates River up towards the top?

Follow it down to the right hand corner of the image

Everything to the left of that river was given in a covenant to the Hebrews/Jews/Israel, made by God.

Eventually there will be a large conflict in that area and the outcome will be that Israel will be able to reclaim the land of God’s covenant.

Many woes will come upon the enemies of God

Big woes.

Is Afrin like Rosieland? Never heard of it until this week.

If the Turks are invading Syria they are invading a Russian proxy. If so, here we go?

I know. We’re also a critical land mass. G-d has a great sense of humor.

Ole Errdie is getting big for his pants. He is thinking he is the reincarnation of the Ottoman Empire and he wants to reestablish it and he be the top rag head in charge. I can smell Ezekiel 38 and 39 coming fast. Mr. Gog up in Russia and his Persian pals from Iran are getting ready fast. It is coming. God will put “hooks in his jaw” and I firmly believe that is all that gas and oil that Israel has discovered, and Mr. Gog is not going to allow the Jews to pump their gas up to Europe and at much cheaper costs, and he will lose his leverage against western Europe. It’s coming. Don’t believe it, read the FACTS from God’s word in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Don’t let the names of the nations throw you, those are their Old Testament era names. They exist today by their current day names. It’s coming. THAT you bet on and win the bet. A sure thing.

Best comment here by far.

I believe the Kurds have been armed with anti aircraft missiles.

I have a feeling Trump will get them what they need.

He’s not obummer.

Turkey in NATO is a joke or either NATO is a joke. Or maybe both.

So a question...If Barack Obama with the help of the the left and the Paleocons, and Libertarians withdrew from Iraq, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...Would this have happened?

Not a tactical maneuver. Just moving down the road into position. If they met resistance they could swing the turrets around fast enough. Turkey’s big issue here is not Syria or macro-geopolitics. They are mostly worried about keeping the Kurds under their heel.

The Kurds, emboldened by success in battle and de facto US support, may not be so easy to handle this time. But that’s OK. If anyone deserves a headache, its Erdogan.
