How can RELEASING information be considered obstruction? You’ve been drinking?

“Can’t the President declassify it by executive order?”

Trump doesn’t own it, yet - it’s owned by Congress (they developed it). But once the clock runs out, it would be released to the White House where they get 5 days to redact anything sensitive as there could be sensitive stuff that Congress doesn’t know of. Then after the memo is ‘cleaned up’ or after 5 days, whichever is first, it hits the streets.

We shall see what happens. I almost think that the shutdown is timed to push this memo to the back-burner...

I’m sorry, Nifster, I don’t keep count or save my thread links as I do my favorite Daily Mail links. I read through every single headline on FR throughout the day, marking my read point so I never lose seeing one. Then I click on maybe 20 percent of them and read at least 80 percent through the threads. Mostly I’m trying to get a wide breadth of opinion and note things I didn’t know and things I should look into deeper. That’s the glory of FR. But I also see repetitions that I don’t keep track of and begin to see as an opinion trend, and my observation was simply on the 20 percent that I did click on. You might click on a different set.

Nunes may have sent it to CINC five days ago while Schiff was cruising in the mens’ room.

Well you throw out a cra cra theory and say it’s been running through the threads. Haven’t seen it even once. It’s wild enough that I would think you’d remember where you saw it

If he [Trump] declassifies it, they announce “obstruction” and use that as the official excuse of the day for starting impeachment. Not worth the danger when the committee is willing to do it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Committee cannot release it on their own. If the Committee votes to release, then the Executive branch (i.e. Trump) has 5 days to okay (or not) the release. If the answer is ‘no’, then it goes to the full House to override (or not) an Executive branch ‘no’.

Jay Sekulow (Trump atty) has said he thought it could be released, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if the strategy ends up being to let it go to the full House vote and then there is no way to put Trump’s fingerprints on the release, thus no chance at all of an ‘obstruction’ pitfall.

RINO Republicans Help Democrats To Keep Memo Locked Up

I'm praying that the delay in releasing 'The Memo' is due to the fact that indictments are being sought.

But I suspect, it is to give cover to the guilty and time for them to destroy further incriminating evidence.

Diane Feinstein dumped the classified GPS testimony without permission and, seemingly, with impunity just by saying she personally decided the merits of releasing it outweighed the risks to national security.

Perhaps a Republican should do the same with this....

It was stated elsewhere that since President Trump is the subject of the investigation that brought all this crap to the surface, by him releasing it that gives the appearance that he’s attempting to obstruct the investigation. You can be pissy about it but public perception is everything now and with the entire msm, Dems and rinos against him, I can accept the reality of the danger it presents.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But I believe Trump can declassify (and likely will once all congress critters are on record that oppose it) and then anyone who’s seen it can release it.
