Democrats and Republicans have agreed to a deal which will end the US government shutdown.
The government partially shut down on Friday after a funding deadline ran out because the two parties had failed to agree on a deal.
On Monday afternoon Democratic senators announced they have agreed to a deal with the Republicans which paves the way to reopen the federal government.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the party's most senior senator, announced that the party would vote to advance a plan to reopen the government.

I don't know.
I think Trump's greatest strength is also his greatest weakness: he's a businessman and willing to negotiate.
But what negotiation can be had with disloyalty? with injustice? with practices which demonstrably weaken the US? I notice that whenever a bipartisan deal
is struck, it is invariably bad for the US; as Pr. Trump said regarding trade, but nonetheless applicable here: “This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever,” — it is the same spirit, that of the Elites and Globalists against us, which wishes to flood our streets, dilute our citizenry, and destroy our culture.
After all, haven't you noticed that the immigrants
from these foreign countries are from countries where corruption is not only the norm, but expected! They want that same corrupt system here, and as the NSA's domestic espionage program, the FBI's urging of non-prosecution of Hillary, and the non-action WRT things like Benghazi, Fast & Furious, the IRS political targeting, the Treasonous Iran Deal
, the flat-out out of control lying of the Federal prosecution in the Bundy case, and so much more… I think it safe to say they NEED to dilute your vote, your participation in society
to make this all The New Normal — to tell us, the true Citizens, Shut up and get used to it; we rule you!
— The whole shutdown (and events leading up to it) proves three things: (1) they have zero respect for the law; (2) they were desperate to shift news away from the memo; and (3) they value illegal invaders, these so-called dreamers, more than the actual Citizenry.
Reread Post 58 to see how unacceptable status quo
is.
He's been in office an entire year. Has he betrayed us one time during that year?
Have you ever been in the military?
No, it's not an irrelevant question — Just because things went well on your patrols last month, and last week, and yesterday, doesn't mean you're not going to get ambushed and killed today.
The things are good because of the past POV has a name: Normalcy Bias — but the phenomenon works with negative effects too, where people are afraid to hope because they know that it will be dashed to pieces. The government-as-an-entity has shown itself incredibly untrustworthy; the Republican Party as-an-entity has shown itself to be incredibly untrustworthy.
Just because bipartisan agreement
makes my hackles rise and I have taken to a more I'll believe it when I see it
approach to politics does not mean I inherently distrust Trump. In fact, I do trust him to do as he best sees things… but it would be the height of foolishness to willfully ignore the fact that he could be misled, or that these sort are utterly incapable of hiding some nasty surprise
in a bill which may escape detection (remember how many congressmen are Lawyers and how their craft increasingly seems to present language that does not mean what a plain reading would indicate).
Logic obviously isn’t your strong suit, so I give up.

That’s pretty much where I’m at. DACA is negotiable but the wall and chain immigration are not. To me this passes the Buckley test of most conservative outcome that is politically feasible.
I’ve been around long enough to know that you push for the best deal you can without backing down on the important stuff. That’s what Trump is trying to do. I would prefer they all go back but I don’t see that happening in Congress. My thought is that if we strengthen immigration law by stopping chain migration and the visa lottery, stop employers from hiring them, and generally make it hard for them to stay, a lot will self-deport. If the parents of the DACA “kids” are deported I’m hoping that most of them go with the parents. I guess it depends on their ages. Since they won’t receive amnesty and become citizens unless they do it the lawful way, it will be really hard for most of them to stay out of trouble and if they break the law they are supposed to be deported.
Now they will have to get the sanctuary cities shut down.
I'm well acquainted with logic; I'm a Computer Scientist.
Even in CS you cannot simply depend on the past to determine the future; for example:
-- The variable count is declared and initialized somewhere in the containing scope.Or, if you want to get into more esoteric, read an article or paper on
loop
count:= count - 1;
exit when count not in Positive;
Put_Line( "Count is Positive, it will stay positive!" );
end loop;
Put_Line("...or not.");
branch mispredictions, especially in the context of a
deep pipeline. Here's a CS handout if you want to see the very basic intro to the problem. — This is why I am taking a
we'll seeapproach WRT Trump rather than simply
cult of personality-ing or
#NeverTrump-ing.
PS - Paranoia may destroy ya.
I never said I wasn't paranoid; and in fact would readily admit some paranoid tendencies — but I notice you cannot refute anything I've actually said and instead devolve to insulting me.
Interesting.
Bigg Red, is that really happening?? Are the Republicans pushing back? I haven’t been watching much tv this afternoon.
I usually don’t watch FAUX News, but the husband DVRs it and shows me parts that he knows I will have an interest in. There were a few of the good guys saying that about the Rats, and Kelly Anne Conway also said it. I love seeing them use the old Rat technique on the Rats.

Trump now needs to place some attention and effort to take
care of the Far East illegals that are here now.
I have degrees in biology, chemistry and computer science, but it didn’t make me talk and think like a robot.
Did I ever say that it did?
Or are you trying to say I talk/think like a robot?
You are quick.
...so you say I’m both robotic, as well as have a poor grasp of logic.
That doesn’t make much sense.
