Ambassador to Israel: Pence's speech moved me to tears

Vice President Mike Pence’s address to the Knesset Monday afternoon, the first by a senior American official in a decade, was praised by a number of Israeli officials from across the political spectrum, who noted the Vice President’s pledge to bar Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and a time-table for the relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, however, expressed a more personal reaction to the speech, saying that he had been so touched by it as to have been moved to tears.

VP Pence is to be applauded for sure. And he impressed me as a Good man. (And when he stops mentioning the long-discredited “two state solution” BS, I will celebrate with a big party steaks and ale for all! May it be soon. President Trump has to drain the swamp ( including the Snake Department nazis and islamonazis). Once he does this, a lot of problems will naturally disappear MAGA!!

I’m still not totally sold on Pence, but I don’t want that to be seen as a putdown. First of all, here he does a great job addressing Israel’s leadership and people. Couldn’t ask for more on that count, and kudos to him for doing exactly what we should be doing.

My problem is, Trump is such a dynamic force, that even a good many after him may look rather lethargic in comparison.

We need another man just like him. I will say that from a V.P. position, it’s heard to show your own forceful nature up against contrasted with a guy like Trump. For this reason, I don’t take Pence to task.

I want to see more, and I may become more comfortable over time. I do think he is a good man.

Just call me very gun-shy after watching what Bush the elder did with Reagan policy after he took over.
