Kim Jong-un may want to have a parade early so that he can duck and hide deep in his underground bunker when U.S. missiles are looking for him probably in April.:-)

That's actually good news. If reports are correct, much of Kim's army is starving and/or engaged in food gathering a fair percentage of the year. Therefore unit readiness probably isn't too great. If he's planning on shipping the units that can dress up for inspection/parade and the equipment that is running to the capital for display... Then that means they are not massing/positioning in preparation for an attack south.

This is a show for the locals - look what we have, be proud of your leader! This is not meant to intimidate others.
