Syrian president Assad says Jerusalem to be Palestinian capital

Syria and Lebanon are countries that did not exist prior to the end of WWI. Both Syria and Trans-Jordan were given to Saudi princes to rule. Syria by the French, and Trans-Jordan by the British.

The area covered by Syria and Lebanon were handed over to the French, and because the majority of the population was Muslim, the French separated Lebanon from Syria, so that Lebanon was created as an enclave on the coast where Christians could at least share power, rather than remaining a tiny minority.

The Palestinian Mandate came about to establish a homeland for Jews in their original homeland. It was recognized that Jews had been and were being persecuted throughout the Western and Muslim world. Jews had maintained a presence in their homeland continually since their expulsion and enslavement by Rome.

Three fourths of the Palestinian Mandate was given to a Saudi prince to establish Trans-Jordan. The name Trans-Jordan specifically was given to denote that the area was east of the Jordan River. Jews were forced west of the Jordan with the promise that that was the area where their homeland would be created, and they could settle.

The Arab Muslim armies have tried to destroy Israel repeatedly, since its establishment. In 1948 these armies occupied Jerusalem, Judah and Samaria (parts of historical Israel). Trans-Jordan changed its name to “Jordan” and granted Jordanian citizenship the the Arab inhabitants of these three areas.

Muslim nations have always chaffed at how their Ottoman Muslim Caliphate was carved up following WWI, and have always viewed the nations created as suspect, but the idea of Jews and Christian actually having a presence as nations in the Middle East was anathema to them.

They purposely forget that the areas of Syria, Lebanon, and Israel were invaded and Islam imposed on the populations. The Christian and Jewish inhabitants were forced into Dhimmitude status by the Muslim invaders.

All those who call themselves “Arab” admit they are invaders, by the simple statement that they are “Arab”. They are from the Arabian Peninsula, and not native. Jews are from the area named Judah which is currently disputed territory and is called the “West Bank”.

Muslims do not play well with members of any other faith. They know that history and the Bible expose the falsehoods contained in the Koran, so they try to re-write history and claim the Bible has changed. They forget that a Muslim found the Dead Sea Scrolls that prove the Bible has not changed. In anger they try to promote the idea that Jews have never been in Israel. Next they will claim that Yeshua (Jesus) was Muslim and not Jewish.
