Whole Foods has implemented a strict new inventory management system that includes bi-weekly walk-throughs and random quizzing of employees, and has left many workers feeling stressed out and punished.

The new system is called order-to-shelf (OTS) and has a strict set of procedures for purchasing, displaying and storing products on store shelves and in back rooms that is supposed to make stores more efficient and cut down on waste.

And to make sure stores are following the new procedures - stores are required to use 'scorecards' to evaluate each employees performance, according to Business Insider.

lovin’ my MarketBasket.

A company where the workers went on strike because they wanted to continue to work for the wonderful owner.

Successful business model, great fresh food and friendly staff.

” The Amazon warehouse worker experience comes to Whole Foods. “

exactly ... nonetheless, i seriously doubt if a grocery store inventory can be successfully treated like a warehouse inventory. One size does NOT fit all ...

“I’m guessing somebody else was auditing the discrepancy list to determine “why” the count was off.”

also to make sure new goods were ordered despite false inventory numbers that said stuff was on the shelf when stuff WASN’T on the shelf ..

“DEC started as a smart, innovative powerhouse and degenerated into hundreds of petty fiefdoms as the company collapsed”

and was so completely ossified it was unable to meet the competion from Silicon Graphics Inc, Sun Microsystems, the PC, and the Unix operating system.

DEC sat there stuck in cyber traffic while the rest of the cyber world whizzed right by them. I finally got where I actually felt sorry for the DEC salesmen trying to sell the latest VAX/VMS system during the last, dying days of DEC.

Same with Tesla and SpaceX. Musk is a ball buster. Jobs was the same, too.

Show me a beloved boss and I'll show you a company on the verge of bankruptcy.

You don't need to go out of your way to be a jerk (as some seem to) but the boss has to stay focused on the bottom line and that's rarely any employee's #1 priority at work.
