Investigative journalist Michael Isikoff said Friday that he was surprised to find out that an article he wrote about Carter Page prior to the election was used to obtain a spy warrant against the former Trump campaign adviser.
The revelation, which was made in a memo released by the House Intelligence Committee on Friday, stuns me, Isikoff said in an episode of his podcast, Skullduggery.
The four-page memo alleges that the DOJ and FBI submitted inaccurate and incomplete information in a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant against Page. The spy warrant was granted on Oct. 21, 2016.
One essential part of the application was the uncorroborated Steele dossier, according to the memo. And an article that Isikoff wrote for Yahoo! News on Sept. 23, 2016 that was based directly on the dossier was cited extensively in the application.

Isikoff is writing a book on Trump Russia Collusion due out in April!! Michelle Malkin just reported on Fox.
I have no proof, but it is my belief Issikoff is in this mess up to his beady little eyeballs. I think he knew.
I just finished listening to the entire podcast that this story is based on. Isikoff wasn’t that stunned, and defends the FBI’s use of other sources in addition to the Steele dossier and his Yahoo! article.
Through the Founders' efforts, God bequeathed us a legacy of hope and freedom, yet it's constantly spit back in their faces from venality and avarice and the lust for power.
It literally turns my stomach.

Considering who’s publishing Spikey’s Russia, Russia, Russia book, I agree: Twelve/Hachette/Lagardère.
“that was based directly on the dossier was cited extensively in the application.”
So this leftist was shown the fake dossier and used it to write an article and is no doubt involved in OP MOCKINGBIRD. CIA, aka clowns in America, OP that pays reporters too do their bidding.
He is connected to someone who presented it to the FISA court.
Odds are that you are right, Isikoff likely knew his story was being seeded as “corroboration”.
If so, he might be better off to get a lawyer because this thing is not going away. It’s not “free press” when you are printing wholesale lies as part of a lawless prosecution by dirty cops. So he cannot hide behind the 1st Amendment.
And agents in Comey’s FBI involved with using the article should be called to testify in a Congressional investigation about whether they attempted to validate Isikoff’s before they submitted it as “evidence”. They might take the 5th, but they can be fired and lose their pension if they try it.
“I have no proof, but it is my belief Issikoff is in this mess up to his beady little eyeballs. I think he knew.”
Totally agree. Isikoff is lying. He was in on this.
And the FBI (IMO) knew exactly what Steele/Isikoff were doing; it was part of the plan.
Why all the concern about fake evidence submitted to the FISA court by the DOJ & FBI. Nowadays, you can find a Federal judge to make ANY ruling demanded by the Liberals/Progressives/Democrats.
No evidence needed - we all know it’s there, “in the penumbra of the Constitution”, right?

He had to have known,
His source was Steele!
of course he knew
Mikhail Isikoff....just another damn Russian.
Yahoo was behind this whole thing.
Wasnt Isakoff one of the news people who sat on the Lewinsky story......until Drudge broke it?
Maybe it stuns him because if/when Carter Page sues him and Yahoo for libel, the FBI’s use of Isikoff’s published attack is solid proof that Isikoff helped to cause Page a loss of basic civil rights, labelled him an agent of a foreign power (Russia), and destroyed whatever business he would ever have. Maybe Isikoff/Yahoo should offer to settle for $50 million today, since if evidence surfaces that he was working with the FBI (and you can bet he was), the price will go up to several hundred million.
Yeah, sure. Shocked and stunned. Uh huh.
