The Japs also did plenty of horrendous experiments on live human captives.

Indeed they did. I’ve seen pictures of Japanese atrocities, and they are stomach-turning.

I have long been puzzled over the near-obsession with Nazi atrocities, while other horrors, such as those committed by the Japanese, are all but ignored.

In these crimes against humanity, how is it that Castro, Mao, Ho and Stalin, et al., get a pass? Ideology? /rhetorical question

I was going to ask if Japanese doctors fell under Hippocrates' oath, and if they were mentioned in the film.

IIRC, the Jap MD that founded a pharmaceutical led the biological warfare experiments on POWs and civilians.

He got a pass from the US/Allies because he turned over all of his research on germ warfare.

From 1933 onwards when Hitler came to power, medical ethics "were turned upside down", Cymes said. "The individual was nothing, the people was everything."

Sounds like leftist thought.

The documentation the Nazis left behind is one factor. We have all of those images we’ve seen over and over again.

And at the risk of interjecting race into it....

Also, the Jewish victims, were European. In fact, one of the observations that Rudolf Hoess, the Commandant of Auschwitz made was that when he saw the Jews heading to the gas chambers, he was astounded how in many cases he couldn’t tell the difference between them and ordinary Germans, and that indeed the physical traits of the Jews were nothing like that shown in Nazi Propaganda.

Another good book on the subject is “The Nazi Doctors” by Robert Lifton.

Sadly, we have some Nazis here: doctors who engage in euthanasia, abortionists and doctors who mutilate perfectly healthy men and women who are delusional about their sex.

"Sounds like leftist thought."

You aren't supposed to notice. Your average DNC drone would deny it, this week.

Japan folded more neatly, perhaps.

Germany remained worrisome in the wake of WWII.

Nonsensical too, as the proxy in socialism for the “people” is some super privileged “beloved leader” class if not person.

And also the peculiar attention to the Jewish people, a major victim of Nazism, is a bible thang.

We don’t have that kind of note for victims of the Japanese.

He had actually planned a plague attack against the US west coast, had tested the mortality rate of various diseases on Chinese cities which the Japs seeded with bio weapons before withdrawing ( est 250,00 deaths)

He had a weapon ( special bombs designed to deliver millions of plague bearing fleas) all developed at special bases in Manchuria. Which housed camps of US and Chinese prisoners on whom bio weapons were tested.

All he lacked was a long range delivery system. The Japs had prototype aircraft but had not yet gone into production. What stopped this. The US bombing of Hiroshima.

Shiro Ishii. Tortured and killed hundreds of thousands including US POW Never prosecuted for war crimes.

So is Japan
They have no permanent friends
Only permanent interests
They are doing a good job at renting us
All those westpac nations that suffered for a century or more under Japan would not be willing to go to war to defend Japan
Only western interests in Japan

Because the Germans were supposed to be civilized, but proved themselves to be the most disgusting savages of all.
