Gowdy: As I have said repeatedly, I also remain 100 % confident in Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

He seems overly concerned with his hair and make-up.

I find him skeevy.

True, but he shan't recuse himself and Session won't even ask him to.

You're just dreaming, if you believe what you've posted.

Rats never recuse. Rats never resign. Never.

The problem here is that Mueller has indictments and plea deals in place against defendants who now have recourse in their criminal proceedings to subpoena all of the people involved -- like Rod Rosenstein.

Do you think it was just a coincidence that a delay in the sentencing hearing for Michael Flynn announced just before the Nunes memo was released?

Ironically, it might be MUELLER who advises Rosenstein to recuse himself.

It could be many reasons, but it reads like a warning.

Who says he isn’t playing nice for a much larger purpose? He never lost a case as a federal prosecutor for no reason at all. Watching the man work is watching pure genius. Up-post someone called him a camera whore which is so laughable I might break out my depends. We b!tc& and moan when a Congressman isn’t taking to us then complain , whine and cry when they (Gowdy) takes his case before the people nightly to place pressure on an ALL DEMOCRATIC White House,DOJ and FBI. He did his job to perfection up to the point of indictments which EASILY could have and can still be done based on the evidence this man unearthed.

It’s funny how we will give absolutely 100% all benefit of doubt to our President with no question but when a patriot, accomplished and extremely intelligent Congressman makes a statement like this no benefits granted even if he has won all his life and especially in a court of law

I just know certain folks, supposedly in the know keep sayin,,”be patient” so I’m willing, to an extent.

IMHO, patience eventually reaches a point of diminishing returns if there are no consequential conclusions. People can reach that "thrown them all out" stage, which might not be a pretty site at midterms or 2020. Think of it as a big TV show called "Proof or Consequences" where major actors have to look for other work when there's no closure to unending drama. Simply put, people are going to get very tired of this endless crap fest any time now.

Maybe. But I think he would be extremely foolish to go after Trump if there is no good reason. If it’s just a perjury trap then he’ll end up on the wrong end of this. And he knows it.

Someone’s got something on him—he’s going overboard to say nice things of FBI/DOJ and is resigning from office. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put that one together. Good riddance.

I see what you’re saying. But I will very be surprised if there’s any accountability. You’re more optimistic than I am. Rosenstein doesn’t seem worried. Wray just gave a thumb’s up to FBI staff. Sessions is still acting like he’s on sedatives. And the media has Rosenstein’s back.

AC, you seem to be of the same mind as FReeper LS, and @ThomasWictor and @ImperatorRex on Twitter.

I’m of the same mind.

I hope - and pray - that this line of thinking is correct, that Mueller will go where the evidence leads him, that Sessions is actually on the job and not on the nod.

Interesting stuff!

Things are NEVER what they appear to be. Mueller is guilty as sin. Up to his eyeballs in Uranium-1. Gowdy surely knows it, as well as when the boom will be lowered on Mueller. So Gowdy, on his way out the door, paused a moment to blow a little smoke up Mueller’s aah, er, shall we say, up his transom.

I am totally with you! I think Trey Gowdy has been brilliant and has advanced the conservative agenda successfully. I don’t know what people wanted him to do, other than expose the truth which is all he has the power to do. As to him leaving.... he has ALWAYS said, he would stay for two terms, period, this is nothing new. I fully expect to see Gowdy back in DC when HIS TIME is right.

I always trusted Trey. Now I think the Left has something on him.

Either Trey Gowdy is dirty or he knows something we do not. I hope it is the latter. I am confused.

Gowdy is doing the right thing. Now is not the time. Maybe in a couple months.
