Islam is “not a religion of hate,” Jordan’s King Abdullah said in a recent interview, arguing that there was perhaps a “lack of understanding” of the religion in Washington.
CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Abdullah — in an interview filmed in Davos last month but aired on Sunday — about President Trump’s stated view during the 2016 election campaign that “I think Islam hates us.”
“By ‘us,’ I think he meant America,” Zakaria said. “In your conversations with President Trump, have you tried to persuade him that that was not the case?”
“Absolutely, to all Americans,” Abdullah replied. “And whether I’m in Washington, in the Congress, or with the administration, I think maybe there’s a lack of understanding of Islam.”
Abdullah said his religion is built on “moral virtues” that are seen in other faiths including Christianity and Judaism.
“It is not a religion of hate,” he said. “We, as Muslims, believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah. We believe in the holy virgin mother. We believe in the Bible and the Torah. And I think this is the way that all of us were brought up.” …

Ever do the numbers? If Russia and the United States agreed to reduce their nuclear stockpiles by dropping 500, each, on terrorist-supporting cities, that would have a major effect on the number of terrorist supporters in the world. Wipe out the 20 biggest pro-terrorist cities each in 50 countries, and Islamic terror goes from global threat to history footnote in minutes. The Left is anti-nuke, so they should like that stockpile reduction.

a “lack of understanding”? No King. We who know history, both ancient and modern understand Islam only too well.
I wonder if Jeb! was ever asked about Islam and if he parroted Barry’s comments as a “religion of peace” or if he changed it up and applied a similar “act of love” moniker for them as he did with the illegal immigrants invading our country.
Islam is not even a religion “of love” among Moslems. They kill each other as eagerly as they kill infidels.
So that must be the reason that Muslims burn churches and behead Christians.

Abdullah, I would love to have a face-to-face discussion about islam with you. No fist-fighting or any violence, just a talk so you could see why I have an understanding of islam and the background that gave me that knowledge.
Seems about 3 years ago I remember a Jordanian pilot that was burned alive...and the King as upset. Seems at the core of the reason he was being burned was those who view the King of Jordan as being SOFT on the WEST and not really applying the Sword of Justice that the messenger of Allah, Mohammed had commissioned. I think it has to do how we treat the word MUSLIM. For a comment we could easily understand, if you used the word CHRISTIAN to an Assembly of God, or a Baptist, or a Universalist, or an Anglican Homosexual, the term Christian would be hard to swallow for an Amish person who was asked to look upon an English Anglican as Christian. SO...even So, the word MUSLIM, has all sorts of crazy and decent people. I think that President Trump understands that MANY Muslims are peace loving, but then there are the Koran Bible Thumpers who take LITERALLY the idea of cutting off the head of infidels. I would HOPE that the King of Jordan is not justifying them.
