Hmmm. My only concern is the logistics of moving troops and equipment to a centralized location. I say keep 'em guessing anyway. Besides which, it would just be more opportunity for the lib wack jobs to photo shop Trump and the nazi guy imposed over the pics.

Great way to get allot of troops into Washington on pretense of a parade.
just saying....
To: rktman
I disagree with the trumpeter. Beef up memorial Day or Fourth of July of Vet’s day. We don’t need another parade. Even in Rome you had to kick someones ass to get a parade.
To: rktman
I'm not really keen on it either. This is the kind of stuff you saw in the old Soviet Union and see today in North Korea.
Bad optics, even though the intentions may be good.

I like the idea. Honor our veterans.

Once the troops are in DC maybe they can stop by the FBI and the NSA and the DNC to say hi.

No. A military parade looks too much like Russia and North Korea.

This is based on an anonymous report from The Washington Post designed to make Trump look like a Nazi it’s fake news folks.

Hey NBC & ABC!!!
Using the FBI and Intel Agencies to rig elections makes us look ‘Authoritarian’.

Trump saw the French Parade. I don't believe it was in any way a show of force...no weapons, missiles etc.
It was an historical tribute to the Military of France.
To: rktman
I remember JFK’s inauguration. I saw 5 ton trucks with Honest John missiles driving by the reviewing stand in the background while Huntley and Brinkley pontificated
To: rktman
Did Trump actually say he wanted to do this? If not it is fake news.
To: rktman
“Authoritarian” is when the executive acts beyond the law and avoids oversight of the peoples’ representatives (congress).
Especially when the executive acts are aimed to select the successor rather than allowing citizens to decide.
If NBC and ABC are worried about authoritarian appearances, they should proactice some journalism - show us what did or did not happen in the last election rather than propagandizing for one side (which appears authoritarian)

In France, it’s called Bastille day military parade.

I’m still hoping for 5,000 and 10,000 National Guard to “sweep” across, starting in, Califonia.
Now that would be a parade!

There are so many possible readings. Maybe Donald’s idea is to make a counter statement to North Korea. To warn them of the fact that they couldn’t possibly win, so they don’t get too obstreperous. Understood.
