Based on the memo, it seems Rodentstein needs to go. Curious why he hasn’t yet.

You are not the only curious one. I can understand why Trump cannot, politically speaking, fire Mueller or Sessions [now, that is, though he can certainly fire Sessions the instant—if ever—Mueller concludes his never-ending witch hunt]. I’ve always thought Trump could survive firing Rosenstein, though. The Dems/MSM would screech, howl and moan, but Trump could just say, ‘Look, Mueller’s investigation is continuing, so what’s the problem?’

Me, I’d love it. But Trump has better info, and he may know of a reason or reasons why it wouldn’t be expedient to fire Rosenstein right now.

“But his proposed solution is for Rosenstein to essentially reframe or describe the investigation differently?

If Mueller was the wrong man (a prosecutor) for the job (counterintelligence), wouldn’t Rosenstein’s proper remedial action be to terminate Mueller not just redefine his duties?”

The article points out the apparent contradiction in Rosenstein’s letter vs his broad reaching SC charter based on Comey’s congressional testimony. McCarthy is absolutely right, Mueller’s investigation is being further invalidated each passing day.
His suggestion for Rosenstein to redefine the SC scope is a way for all to save a little face while Mueller quietly goes away.

>>Rosenstein is an active part of the coup to destroy Trump, and Sessions is backing RR all the way.<<

WHERE’S SESSIONS?

“There is no one in a position actually prosecute the criminals.”

A fact rarely grasped by 95% here on FreeRepublic. Same with Trey Gowdy. He can subpoena witnesses and refer them for prosecution. That is the limit of his, or any other member of Congress, power.

Any case prosecuted out of Washington DC is hopelessly compromised until ALL of the Comey/Mueller sympathizers are outed and removed. And Trump would haave to jump 3 or 4 levels of management to order a US Attorney to prosecute a case.

Sessions is throwing his full support behind Trump-hater Rosenstein. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Have you seen this guy’s theory?: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/961398510179536896.html

He says Sessions is just waiting on IG Michael Horowitz to lay out the facts, then Sessions will pounce.

I don’t agree with him but it is an interesting theory.

Horowitz is getting his hands on the key documents.

See post 27. The guy at the link thinks Sessions is throwing his full support behind Horowitz.

I don’t buy it. When it became public knowledge that Rosenstein had committed a felony [re the FISA application he signed] Sessions came out publicly and said we need a whole DOJ full of lawyers of Rosenstein’s quality. You can’t walk praise of that magnitude back.

The inside-the-beltway establishment is still clinging to the thin reed that Mueller will find something—anything—that can be used to bring down Trump.

I don't pout anything past these FBI folks like Comey and Mueller. I believe they are SICK, they abuse power and believe they are entitled too. Thus, Mueller very well could fabricate a crime and effectively cause a crisis - they fear Trump in power is worse than a countrywide crisis, and they may be right as the depths of the abuse of power at federal agencies and even Obama's WH that has been overlooked is mind blowing and they can't have the truth come out.
