I don’t mind the new tolled lanes.
Want free? There’s all the lanes that were there. Plenty, shared by everyone else wanting free.
Want speed? Congestion-free is available for the supply-and-demand going rate. Toll is set at whatever discourages congestion. Those fees go back to maintenance, reducing taxes for the whole road.
As much as I’m on the road I’ll have to see if this in fact does reduce the congestion on the non toll portion of the road. If yes that’s great. If no I may spring for a Peach Pass.

Any proof of that, or is that just a theory of yours? Certainly not true for those paying ‘fees’ on the PA Turnpike and many, many, other ‘facilities’ (as they call them) around the nation.
