Too bad they didn’t settle it by actually playing hockey.
There have been shootouts in soccer from the beginning. While I am a fan of the shootout, I think you do need to play the game until its logical conclusion.
This would be like the NBA going into overtime and shooting 3 pointers. Major league baseball having a home run contest. Football, sending out the receivers and backs against the cornerbacks and safetys.
