(The Hill) First National Bank of Omaha said Thursday that it would end its business relationship with the National Rifle Association (NRA) after feedback from customers.

In a post on its official Twitter account Thursday, the bank announced it would no longer renews its contract with the NRA.

Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA,” the bank wrote. “As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.

I just sent an email to the First National Bank of Omaha (where I have a Scheels Visa card), and asked them to verify if this story is true. If so, I am cancelling my card.

“Meanwhile that bank continues to use guards with those nasty guns (yuckie-poo) to keep that money safe.”

Excellent point

We have two banks. Will be closing out 1st national and will let them know why.
//////////////////////////

great! I don’t have an account but I visited the website and emailed their customer service rep the following:

So after you make millions from the law abiding NRA members, you throw us to the wolves by abandoning us because you are afraid of a leftist backlash. Such courage and moral righteousness. This is a terrible decision and very superficially conceived. Conservative, family oriented, gun owners will not take to the streets and vociferously denounce you. We will do what we did to the NFL and quietly and effectively not patronize you. I took the time to email you. Think about that. I’m sure the NRA will find another bank, and if not its members will provide them funds to start their own. We are taxpayers, unlike the mindless sheep who protest the 2nd amendment

Me too, everyone needs to.

They’ll just think they heard “outrage” before.

Main problem IMO is that every large company has a marketing department that is staffed by females aged 25-30 who popped out of some Liberal university with a marketing degree and who hit the panic button whenever they see more than 15 comments on Twitter.

They somehow manage to convince their bosses that the sky is falling and the company is headed for oblivion if they don’t do something NOW!!

They got 10 phone calls and 21 letters from 5 people. So they make a policy change. (It’s the most they’ve ever gotten, of course)

They might soon be surprised at how many of their customers are paying attention. It is Omaha, right?

They are about to find out the Conservatives tend to be more silent. They'll just be quiet while they stop doing business with them.

That is an excellent point.

Some one should ask them if they intend to disarm the guards?

First National Bank of Omaha said Thursday that it would end its business relationship with the National Rifle Association (NRA) after feedback from Leftist trolls, professional paid cranks, and Twitter bots. There. Fixed it.

Right on. Poor bank hasn't figured that out.

I and my wife will both be cancelling our NRA Visa cards as soon as we decide where to go next. But FNB Omaha is dead to me ...

They got high interest rates anyway.

I stuck with them because of the logo.

This is it. Switching to Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union.

Their website says they have branches in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Texas.

But they act is all their business was in Massachusetts, NY and California.

Talk about not knowing your customers.

Best of luck to them.....

Same here. Just pulled all my rewards points from the account. Among other things, getting a $100 gift card for Cabela's. Might save it for when I buy my next gun.

So I guess if those customers were in the bank and armed robbers came in they would just walk up to them and say “I don’t believe in guns so just drop your guns and quickly leave.” I can hardly wait to see that on the news.
