You can bet on it they are digging dirt on him. Trump should have him sequestered at Fort Knox or someplace where the Deep State cant whisper in his ear.

In my home state of Virginia, public employee unions are specifically outlawed (for state and local governments, obviously, there is nothing Virginia can do about the feds).

I don’t see why they (hell ALL) couldn’t pass something along the lines of:
1) Donations of ANYTHING from non-voting capable entities is hereby illegal
2) No govt position may receive any contribution from outside of their representation zone (city for city, county for county seat, state for state\Fed)
3) All donations must be posted within 72 hours of their receipt and audits must be immediately available upon any request.
4) Any infringement of any part of this law will forfeit ones run and each violation will be assessed a fine of $1M (adjusted to inflation). More than 5 violations will also incur 6mo.\per in prison and a felony conviction.
That should clean-up the system a bit...
I like this from the Code of Virginia:
§ 40.1-55. Employee striking terminates, and becomes temporarily ineligible for, public employment.
Any employee of the Commonwealth, or of any county, city, town or other political subdivision thereof, or of any agency of any one of them, who, in concert with two or more other such employees, for the purpose of obstructing, impeding or suspending any activity or operation of his employing agency or any other governmental agency, strikes or willfully refuses to perform the duties of his employment shall, by such action, be deemed to have terminated his employment and shall thereafter be ineligible for employment in any position or capacity during the next twelve months by the Commonwealth, or any county, city, town or other political subdivision of the Commonwealth, or by any department or agency of any of them.
and this,
§ 40.1-57.2. Prohibition against collective bargaining.
No state, county, municipal, or like governmental officer, agent or governing body is vested with or possesses any authority to recognize any labor union or other employee association as a bargaining agent of any public officers or employees, or to collectively bargain or enter into any collective bargaining contract with any such union or association or its agents with respect to any matter relating to them or their employment or service.
I’ve always favored #2, but your #s 1, 3, and 4 are awesome as well.
Me likey, but don’t counter the union INFLUENCE re: politics. They’re still embedded like a tick and, as long as they don’t do something STUPID, they’re there for ‘life’.
TY.
IMO, there must ALWAYS be the ‘stick’ as well. Gotta S-P-E-L-L it out for them so there’s no wiggle-room.
Course, we have lawyers & courts whom can’t seem to fathom the definition of ‘shall, shall not, no, none....is, etc.’
The Obamacare penalty was written into the income tax code and calculated and paid as part of your income taxes. Doesn't seem much of a reach to call it a tax when that's what it is.
Gut check time for Gorsuch, but I’m used to these decisions not going our way. We need a good 12 or 16 years to clean up the Court and the courts.
Knowing Bush the way I do now I think HE KNEW all along what Roberts was Roberts wasnt blackmailed he WAS a liberal ALL ALONG without much of a voting record for any of us to really investigate!!! Bush was NEVER on our side Bush is a DEM in PUBBIES clothing JUST LIKE JEB!
Walker in Wisconsin took the unions to the wood shed...his state is no longer going broke because of it...
I think the public sector unions are about to have an earthquake upend their corrupt purtid lives...
I agree, and it’s way past time that it happens.
It will be a whole lot easier to RID the government of the mostly useless pieces of flesh employed by the government!!! These AASHATS would actually HAVE TO WORK for a living!!! MAYBE most of them will quit we can ALWAYS HOPE!!!!!
I will NEVER FORGET the balls Walker had during the fiasco in Wisconsin he was AMAZING, the man didnt budge as the DEMS trashed the state house and ran away from home like the utter children that they are!! I was so impressed with Walker after that!!!! Him not backing Trump 100% knocked him off the pedestal I had him on!!!
Worked for a city for 15 years. I can tell you their main goal in life is to find someone else to do it.
I believe Roberts was among the five who voted for both the Heller and McDonald decisions, clarifying that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to self defense and that this right must not be infringed by the states.
After 37 years of working in the private sector, I accidentally ended up working for a county when the union rep came by to join me to the union...
I said, great! I just get to pick the charity of my choice as the legal alternative. I worked an additional 8 years; never did joined the dammed union.
If even possible, they should be outlawed by statute! I place this one equivalent to amnesty.
You are missing the point: the federal government has no delegated power given it to levy a tax on not obeying a regulation.
Not obeying a regulation is not a form of income no matter how it is “taxed”. Nor is a tax on NOT buying something a tax ON buying something.
How you collect a “tax” is iummaterial if WHY you collect the “tax” is itself something improper (not allowed). Which is to say the “why” you collect a tax is the form of tax it should be considered to be no matter how you may try to collect it.
Robert’s lawlessness depends on arrogating a number of important aspects of the Law.
The proper definition of any assessment or penalty imposed because you do not obey a regulation is a “fine”, for which there is a guarantee of due process in the Constitution.
So the lawlessness in question violates the Constitution in several important ways as well as the very concepts on which our laws are based.
I was listening to Dan Bongino yesterday, and he seemed absolutely confident that the Left was going to lose on this.
Which is good. It has ALWAYS been an appalling pet peeve of mine, these “Agency Fees”.
Thanks, good to hear.
I’ve always been a fan of Dan Bongino, he’s a straight shooter.
I’m with you on the fees.
