If it’s a diplomatic breakthrough, it’s a win for NK.
They have been wanting one on one takes with the US
for the last fifty years and been denied by every administration.

Stall tactic. They have negotiated with all prior gullible Presidents including Clinton, W, and Obama. Each time they got food and aid in exchange for “agreeing” to not continue weapons development. They lied each time, got the aid, and continued with their nuke developments.

Trump needs to talk of course but continue war preparations. The NKs only understand strength and power.

And, dang, Trump would be awesome if one of the conditions we demanded was that “Fat Boy” give up his regime and spend the rest of his corpulent life in China somewhere. Now THAT would be ballsy.

If it happens it is good news. Unlike the Obama admin I would expect the Trump admin to lay out for them in some detail what will happen to them if they make a fatal blunder. One would think they would already know what would happen but given their isolation and propaganda I am not so sure of that. They would likely not believe much we say anyway but at least we did our part in trying to communicate with them.

After 30 years of working in the “Bomb” I’d vote for stall.

South Korea can defend itself. We've protected it long enough and have helped them build themselves into a strong and powerful country. I'd like to see South Korea thank America for defending it and that they can relieve us, allowing our troops in Korea to return to the USA.

The next logical step in the Kabuki dance.

First the show of girls ... because Americans are stupid about beautiful Asians .... then the offer to talk because, well, see? ... we're really just like you ...

No talking, it’s time for action. Don’t be fooled. The more time we waste the closer they get. They are just trying to play us like they always do. Iran learned that too and are using the same PRK play book. Get busy and get busy now before it’s too late. (It already may be too late)!

North Korea suffered a disaster at their Punggye-ri nuclear test facility last October. A tunnel collapse killed 200.

This happened a few weeks after Maddog Mattis told a reporter that we have kinetic weapons that we could use against the North. Mattis didn’t specify what they are, but there have long been rumors that USAF Space Command has tungsten rods parked in space which when dropped hit with force nearly equal to a nuclear blast.

No return address attached, and I wonder if you could even be certain what had hit you. It might look like an earthquake.

Assuming that these “rods from God” exist, I imagine that you could get little Kim’s undivided attention if you were to drop one on his favorite weapons factory and kill everybody. It might even make him open to whatever terms you are offering him, especially if those terms allow him to save face and not be exterminated by some sci-fi space weapon.

The Punggye-ri disaster is real, and the Norks admit 200 died. Any connection to Mattis’s statement and the Nork’s new diplomatic moves is just speculation.
