** Patterson was anti-Trump back during the election, but I think he’s changed his views a bit since then. **

Patterson’s son is the pilot for Marine One.

A high Dem turnout is good. It means they are stirring their own pot instead of trying to play spoiler in the Republican primary. I thought about playing in the Dem primary this year, but there were about 3 races where I wanted to vote against someone on the Republican side.

Have you heard P. Bush’s campaign ad? it claims that Jerry Patterson was a total anti-Trumper during the election, and that he opposed the Texas Republican party on immigration.

I have no idea if any of that is true, do you?

I just don’t trust Bush.

I’ve seen the Jorge P postcards, saying the same.

Jorge needs to go. I don’t like that he’s messed with the Alamo. I’m also not happy that Trump has endorsed Jorge, in a later tweet. Sorry, POTUS, we Texans prefer to stay out da Bushes.

I haven’t heard that, about Patterson, but he’s better than interloper Bush, imo.

Any TX freepers have anyone to endorse for Land Commissioner? I know I want Bush to lose, but whom should I vote FOR?

Since you asked, I highly recommend Jerry Patterson. He was my choice from the beginning but a few days ago in a family group text I got a lot of new information from my daughter who works in the private sector but has to deal with the Land Commission. I'm going to just paste my daughter's text comments:

" Jerry was honestly just a more intelligent leader period. Dealing with their office has turned into a mess. [with George P] Jerry Patterson ran things very transparent & simple, lots of customer service. Made a conserted effort to help people understand the law & what the GLO does. 99% of people never have to work with the GLO which makes it hard to make people care. Jerry had a YouTube channel where he made videos describing certain issues. He articulated some of the Federal BLM issues much better than anyone else I've heard. Broke it down well for ordinary people."

Frankly, after I got those text replies I was more impressed with that guy. He needed to put my baby in an ad a month ago. Of course, I'm partial and think she's the smartest, prettiest gal in Texas...IMHO

Hope you don't mind if I throw in my $.02 again about George P. I've heard his ad several times and don't think the entire thing rings true. I was firmly NOT in his camp over his moves to turn The Alamo into an amusement park. March 6, election day, falls on the 182nd anniversary of the fall of The Alamo and with George P as Land Commisioner it falls again. That's beside my point.

I'm going to repeat myself from my previous post so please pardon my repetition but I was discussing this in a family group text earlier this week and got some relevant information from my daughter. Daughter works for a private business which has to deal with the Land Office on a regular basis. This is my copy/paste from daughter's contribution regarding working with Jerry Patterson as the previous land commissioner vs George P:

" Jerry was honestly just a more intelligent leader period. Dealing with their office has turned into a mess. [with George P] Jerry Patterson ran things very transparent & simple, lots of customer service. Made a conserted effort to help people understand the law & what the GLO does. 99% of people never have to work with the GLO which makes it hard to make people care. Apparently he omitted the Bush boy, George P for Land Commissioner.

President Trump on Tuesday endorsed the son of his former GOP primary rival Jeb Bush in a Texas political race.
