Only 4K rounds is your guess?

By my Montana neighborhood standards you guys are pikers.

People need to have more than one AR. One at your house, one or more at someone else's house, preferably some miles but no more than half a tank of gas away. They can't hit everywhere at once.

When I lived in California I watched gun control laws become more and more restrictive and took the precaution of burying my AWB restricted long guns and ammo in two ground hogs. Between 1995 and 2011 my AR and AK and several thousand rounds of ammo reposed quietly in a Northern CA National Forrest. The problem is that in that a 38 year old guy buried them in late 1995 and a 54 year old guy had to go dig them up in 2011 when I moved to a free state. My advice is, if you are going to resort to this sort of thing, be prepared to rent a backhoe.

Store weapons and ammo safely.
