Rush said today when they tried to boycott his sponsors..his people did research and found out it was only ten people who manipulated the internet “ emails of outrage” making it seem like 50000 to 100,000 people.
Like tanks, rocket propelled missiles, planes, machine weapons etc.???
What about a twenty yr old mother living alone while husband is deployed...lots of lawsuits.
“Can they do this under the law?”
That depends on which law. Walmart has stores in many states. Several states and the District of Columbia impose minimum age requirements that extend beyond those contained in federal law.
Those laws generally fall into four categories:
Laws imposing a stricter minimum age for handgun purchases than federal law;
Laws imposing a minimum age for all long gun purchases, from licensed or unlicensed sellers;
Laws imposing age requirements for possession of handguns that are stricter than federal law; and
Laws imposing a minimum age for possession of long guns.
Since Florida is the state that has triggered these changes, Florida:
Requires a three-day waiting period prior to purchase of a handgun;
Imposes liability upon persons who fail to secure their firearms to make them inaccessible to children; and
Prohibits the transfer or possession of certain types of ammunition.
However, Florida does not:
Require a background check prior to the transfer of a firearm between private parties (although counties may impose such a requirement);
Require firearms dealers to obtain a state license;
License firearm owners;
Require the registration of firearms;
Regulate assault weapons, 50 caliber rifles, or large capacity ammunition magazines;
Limit the number of firearms that may be purchased at one time; or
Regulate unsafe handguns (junk guns or Saturday night specials).
If you check the laws of your state, you will probably find many things different from Florida. Can they do it, I’m not sure anyone knows. I think the ATF just tries to stay under the radar.

But, it doesn’t matter if it’s effective though, does it?
Look at how many companies they’re socially engineering into thinking that there are some swaths of customers demanding that they stop selling certain guns. They bully one company, which buckles, runs through the media spin cycle, then another does and another does...
We draft 18 year olds because that is the optimum age for them to kill others. And be killed. But they can’t own a gun?
“...also removing items from its website resembling assault-style rifles..”
Irrational fear of tools that look scary. Maybe they should not sell other tools that look scary - like a chainsaw, or a set of kitchen knives. Maybe they should stop selling any DVD’s with any violent scenes, or music with violent lyrics.
Maybe they, and probably half of America - stop being such pussies?
Nope because Walmart violating the law and the 2nd Amendment. There is no age limit on the 2nd Amendment. Its age discrimination.
Think of the Christian Bakers and the gay wedding cake case.
Let the law suits begin. Walmart, no matter how deep their pockets are, they aren’t above state law.
18 year olds will take their money elsewhere.
Walmarts are getting bigger but have less and less of the basics I shop for.
There are plenty of "country folk" who are just as trained and perhaps even more so (prior to turning 18 b.t.w.), than many "city slickers" who get 10 - 16 weeks of training in basic.
18 is the legal age when one becomes an adult. Of course one size doesn't fit all, but current politicians need to think twice about taking away everyone's constitutional rights based only on the fact that they are 18 or 19 or 20.
A great point, and ironic to boot.
Ridiculous. If I could ban you I would.
><
I guess I’d ban you, too. If I don’t agree with you, you’re banned.
Walmart also requires a person buying super glue to be over 18, but anyone can buy plan B and kill their baby.
Ridiculous...Just go to a dealer. They’re in the phone book.
The age is not the problem; its liberalism. No intact home, mom not home after school, dad not around to teach discipline, schools not teaching anything but diversity and entitlement, God absent from these kids lives. Those are the problem.
Absolutely. And proggies will absolutely demonize that truth, because they want the problems, to weaken us. It makes us maleable, controllable.
This situation is now close to banning guns for a significant swath of young men. Fighting age men. I do cringe at the immaturity of so many of todays young men, but this...
If we move to 21 for gun purchases, then it damn well better be 21 for voting, smoking, driving, legal responsibility and dependency for parents taxes.
That could be made into a case for either side of this issue.
Add to that list, voting and the legal age of becoming an adult. Everyone under 21 would be considered a minor then, and treated as such under the law. That's the only way it makes legal sense.
That’s why we always had some older guy to buy cigs and booze for us.
What will Walmart do about father’s buying their kids guns?
I'll bet that within a week, they won't sell them at all.
So sorry, my good FRiend.
As a recent, and former, and native citizen of the once Golden State, I wish you good luck , and possibly, a good journey (to any of some very nice "red" states."
