This moment did send a chill down my spine. About Japanese internment; keep in mind Rosevelt was a Democrat. And, while mass Japanese enternment was an huge overreach, there would have been merit for selective fact based arrests. Btw, which was what was done with certain Italian and German U.S. residents.

My mother is in her 80’s and voted for Trump, but not his biggest fan (yet.) She called me last night just to tell me how impressed she was with how Trump ran the meeting. “He ran it like a business meeting” were her exact words.
What I saw was Trump continuing to bring light to how petty and dysfunctional congress truly is.

Scott Adams’ take is that him saying the line “You’re afraid of the NRA” to the Republicans in the meeting takes gun control off the table as an issue he can be attacked with in 2020.
It’s a very interesting take on things, and sounds accurate. From a guy who understands the Trump dynamic better than almost anyone, who called it for Trump very, very early.
