On Tuesdays Andrea Mitchell Reports, two Florida politicians, a Republican and a Democrat, made back-to-back appearances to discuss gun control. Host Andrea Mitchell took a radically different tone with each interviewee both of whom are seeking statewide elected office in 2018 thus epitomizing MSNBCs inescapable liberal bias.
While speaking with Republican Florida State Representative Jay Fant, Mitchell assumed an adversarial role, grilling him on his recent vote against a measure to ban assault rifles. Throughout the brief interview, she argued that the Second Amendment was not absolute, citing the late Justice Scalias decision in the frequently-referenced District of Columbia v. Heller case. In a particularly telling lapse of judgment, she suggested that perhaps guns ought not to exist at all:
If the guns did not exist, you would not have had the terror, the massacre that you had. You can talk about mental health and other restrictions, and everything is part of this mosaic, but guns are the differentiator here.
Fant was adamant that a ban on weapons like the AR-15 constituted a violation of Americans Second Amendment rights, and he pointed out that events like the Columbine massacre had occurred during a federal assault weapons ban.

Hey, Andrea—is “the right to privacy” and its foundation for abortion “absolute”? Say—maybe ABORTION “should not exist at all”. Just sayin . . .
SUMMARY OF D.C. V. HELLER
https://www.cga.ct.gov/2008/rpt/2008-R-0578.htm
“According to the Court, the ban on handgun possession in the home amounted to a prohibition on an entire class of ‘arms’ that Americans overwhelmingly choose for the lawful purpose of self-defense. Similarly, the requirement that any firearm in a home be disassembled or locked made it impossible for citizens to use arms for the core lawful purpose of self-defense. These laws were unconstitutional under any of the standards of scrutiny the Court has applied to enumerated constitutional rights.
But the Court did not cite a specific standard in making its determination, and it rejected the interest-balancing standard; proposed by Justice Breyer, and a rational basis standard.
The Second Amendment right is not absolute and a wide range of gun control laws remain presumptively lawful, according to the Court. These include laws that:
(1) prohibit carrying concealed weapons,
(2) prohibit gun possession by felons or the mentally retarded,
(3) prohibit carrying firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings,
(4) impose conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms,
(5) prohibit dangerous and unusual weapons,
(6) regulate firearm storage to prevent accidents.
Justice Scalia wrote the majority opinion. He was joined by Justices Alito, Kennedy, Roberts, and Thomas.
If GUN-FREE zones did not exist, "you would not have had the terror, the massacre that you had."
It's far easier to ban gun-free zones than suck up every firearm that exists. That would of course require heavy-handed tyrannical measures and far more than 17 innocents will die.
How about, if metal did not exist, if wood did not exist, if uranium did not exist, if oil did not exist.
It is childish fantasy, simplistic and dangerous thinking.
How many untold lives are saved by guns everyday.
These hypocrites are surrounded by men wearing guns.
They take money from Hollywood creeps who, when not raping women, are making movies glorifying guns.
They also take money from Silicon Valley liberals who make psychotically violent software where teenagers shoot thousands of humans across a screen for hours and hours every day.
Fact, gun deaths have been dropping for years, while gun ownership has been rising. This is bad law resulting from a hysterical reaction from a terrible crisis that only happened because of the unconscionable dereliction of duty by the FBI.
If the Pentagon was as derelict as the FBI, we would have been nuked by the Soviets in the 60’s.
Terrorists would just go “BACK TO” ,Bow & Arrow ,Swords ,Knives etc etc
Not amazing at all. History is chock full of examples of (failed) utopian statists who firmly believe they can bring about perfection if they can just get everybody to submit to, and conform with, their superior beliefs. Of course those at the top know it's bunk, but if they can mobilize enough useful idiots they can get their way, by force if necessary.
Damn..... what happened to her face?
Once Pol Pot's forces had sufficiently disarmed the populace, the Khmer Rouge did not even bother to waste bullets on their victims. Their lives were deemed that cheap.
Instead, they just bashed their heads in with pipes, broken cam shafts, clubs...and just left their bodies to rot in the fields.
Tim Kaine too
He was interviewed and aired on Sirius Patriot this morning- dodging questions “I think I’ve answered your question” when he clearly had not. He was advocating for a gun ban for any gun that had a magazine > 10 rounds -INCLUDING HANDGUNS.
Which is a large number of popular guns.
Revealing yet again what a POS tool he was and why hilLIARy picked him. He seemed pretty quiet and docile during the election, but he was a total dickwad in this interview.
The wife of Greenspam should recall this:
They say this openly. Nothing is being given away.
But, their goals are non-realistic. They may or may not know that, but that’s not the point.
It’s a statement if faith. It’s a belief publicly espoused as signals to others in the progressive cult.
Ok, amazing that it’s not amazing.
Worth noting: _Utopia_ (by Thomas More) was SATIRE. They don’t realize that either.
She used to date a belt sander.
These anti-Constitution idiots need to be awakened. Justice will prevail.
“With private gun ownership, we will have tragedies.
Without private gun ownership, we will have genocide.”
Well said.
