Washington Times ^ | March 1, 2018

Senate Democrats offered their ante Thursday in the renewed gun control debate, saying any bill must expand background checks and allow court-ordered gun confiscations while demanding a vote on a semi-automatic rifle ban

Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York said his Democratic caucus is prepared to provide a “very large” number of votes for those priorities.

“This is what we think should be done. This is the right thing to do” Mr. Schumer said.

Remember the live bipartisan immigration round table the Pres. had with congresscriters. He listened, threw some ideas out and then said what the bill had to have in it. The pro Daca libs and rinos ran out and put together an outlandish dead on arrival bill. He played them like a fiddle and made them look foolish. Maybe this gun control round table is same song second verse.

Closing the Gun show “loophole”.
Red flag laws.
Vote on “assault weapons” ban.

Trump is already signed up for the red flag laws. The vote on the AW ban won’t get 40 votes in the Senate.

Tell ‘em to pack sand on the loophole.

I would like candidates to pass a background check in order to run for congress. And all members of congress be subjected to random drug screening. But I don’t see this happening.

Democrats Demand Bill With Gun Confiscations, Expanded Background Checks>>>>>>>

To get that, the Dems are going to have to allow President Trumps DACA solution and appropriate money for The Wall.

Otherwise, NO DEAL.

The Republican camel has its nose under Schumer’s tent.

Soon all of that camel effluvia will be right in Schumer’s lap.

What we are seeing is a rather elaborate poker game, and so far, President Trump has most of the chips.

What they could do is expand the controlled substance database to include psych drugs as class 5 controlled substances. Opioids, benzos, ADD drugs are already on there. Then, the background check could include this info.

Literally millions of people take trazadone, myself included. The vast majority of people take this as a non narcotic non addictive sleep aid. It is also use as an anti-depressant but rarely used for this today. There are better drugs for depression. I could easily see a law that says, "anyone taking an anti depressant can not have a weapon." This is the slippery slope of gun confiscation.

I have been shooting for 60 of my 69 years on earth. I no longer hunt as the joy of killing left me. I have no problem with hunters and a select few are allowed to hunt on my land. We share the venison and turkey. It tastes great. I have never raised a weapon in anger and hope I never need to. I will raise that weapon without hesitation to protect my family, myself and innocents.

When I was a retail pharmacist I kept a weapon though it was against company policy. I just wanted a chance against a crazed drug addict thief. My plan if ever robbed was to give them the money and drugs without resistance. Hell I would even load up the bag for them if I thought they would not harm myself or staff. The only reason I would have used the weapon is for survival.

"Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York said his Democratic caucus is prepared to provide a “very large” number of votes for those priorities."

Seriously? There are ten (10) Democrat Senators running for reelection in states that Trump won in November.

These demands have more to do with the failure of the Republicans for not articulating 2nd Amendment principles.

It sounds as if the DEMS themselves are trying to kill the bill till a Dem president can sign one. At least they are showing their true colors.

DOA.

I would certainly hope so at least in the House. I think the Senate is so close to the 50 vote margin on so many issues with the NEVER TRUMPERS wanted to stab him the back every chance they get - e.g. McStain and Flaky - that I would put anything past a Senate vote to approve Schmuckie's demands. Then this will indeed be the beginning of the end of Trump AND the GOP.

I damn that every Democrat in Congress go through a complete FBI/CIA and NSA background check before being allowed to take any office.

In that case, most of the Dems would be in jail for treason and aiding & abetting the enemy (Soviet Union/Russia, Red China, Cuba, Sandinista Nicaragua, the now totally Marxist controlled South Africa (ANC and SACP), and Khomeini’s Iran (CAIFI, etc), as well as Chavez/Maduro’s Venezuela, Allende’s Chile (1970-73), FARC in Colombia, the Cubans coup in Grenada 1983, and lesser Marxist regimes in Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil (Lula and Roussieff), Cheddi Jagan (Guyana, he was a Soviet asset, possibly KGB as well as his wife), as well as the Soviet-created PLO of Yassir Arafat.

From a good bit of information on many of past and present Democrats in Congress with red records, go to www.keywiki.org and search by their name. In the case of Sen. Ted Kennedy, search under “Edward Kennedy”. You’ll be surprised at what he, Chris Dodd, and John Kerry were up to in the communist world.

BINGO

Jan 8, 2018: Trump has put Schumer in a no-win situation on DACA, American Thinker.com ^ | January 7, 2018 | Thomas Lifson

How do Democrats explain to themselves the way they keep getting outsmarted by a man they claim is a moron? President Trump has Democrats exactly where he wants them on the issue of DACA.

President Trump engineered this dilemma for Schumer by rescinding Obama’s executive order creating the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program, but giving Congress until March 2018 to come up with an alternative approach. That trap is now closing in on Schumer. He has 10 Democrat senators up for re-election in November in states that voted for Trump. Will Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, John Tester of Montana, and Claire McCaskill of Missouri be willing to tell their voters that they think amnesty for a group that includes MS 13 members is so important that the government ought to be shut down?

He lures them out for all to see then they make they’re 20% proposals
I.e. Only the super hard left would support and 80% oppose
Then he’s like Lucy with the football

“After Pres Trump’s comments yesterday I’m surprised they are not demanding full repeal of 2nd Amendment.”

That is what he wants them to do, he will toss it into their lap and watch it fail BIG time. I am amazed at how well he plays these fools, the best I have ever seen bar none. He tosses them a shovel then stands back and watches them bury themselves alive. Clue: Do not play poker with President Trump if you like your shirt.
