One of the major buzzwords in corporatespeak over the last few decades has been "diversity".
My response to that has always been "The Balkans have diversity; fat lot of good it did them".
Those few of us left that studied REAL history, see the all-too-frightening parallels.
I speak as a Roman history buff; this is a very good summary.
Excellent article. I think there are many examples in current America for these. Unfortunately I don’t think we have a public willing to go to war over freedom because failing to correct these issues is what it will take to get it back.
Long time ago I studied under an expert in societal destruction. We were always looking at tribal cultures and the like. I never thought back then I would be looking at my own country for those exact danger signals.
Thanks for posting this. Excellent essay.
We survived the Great Depression because most Americans knew how to farm and were self-sufficient. This was before the changing face of America, when we were all still on the same page. We are a mish-mosh of diverse peoples, under a million banners and we have more internal enemies than we know what to do with. The National IQ is plummeting. The next crises that comes along will find us folding faster than Superman on laundry day.
Very nice..! Thanks for that...
The left does not believe in assimilation, or the Melting Pot theory. They are interested in dividing and conquering America.
Great post thanks.
“It has gotten so bad that wed rather tell people to press 2 for Spanish instead of insisting that they learn English.”
Not to mention, a lot of medical documents I receive in the mail, have a full back page of instructions, front and back, in 25-30 DIFFERENT languages.
Great, and scary, article BTW.

There is also the factor of lead pipes and the fact that Romans shaved lead into food as an artificial sweetener.
According to George Washington and John Adams, our Constitution was made for a virtuous people, based on religion and morality. We are no longer a virtuous people. Many have rejected religion and morality. Our Constitution can not constrain the growing evil within us.
Good points.
Well, Gibbon thought the rise of Christianity led to Rome’s downfall. Clearly THAT won’t be a problem for the USA...
Divide is the root word of diversity. Where’s the strength in dividing?
Interesting post, thanks!
It may reach a point where we need it, sadly.
