Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) said in a speech last week he believes Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire this summer, according to audio of the speech obtained by Politico.
Kennedy is going to retire around sometime early summer, Heller said in the speech, according to Politico. Which Im hoping will get our base a little motivated because right now theyre not very motivated. But I think a new Supreme Court justice will get them motivated.
Heller is facing a tough GOP primary ahead of the 2018 midterms as Las Vegas businessman Danny Tarkanian challenges Heller for the Republican nomination.

I’ll wait to hear it from the horses mouth.
Why hasn’t Heller resigned? This loser here in Nevada, this Never Trumper, needs to resign now and allow the Republican party time to put up a credible candidate for the state, a Trump Republican.
“Base not motivated”? Correct, he, Senator Heller, has no base. No one in this state who voted for Trump support him. We never will, we will never forgive and forget.
That’s why Mitch has been rushing to get so many judges through right now! /sarc
Last year, Laura Ingraham heard from her sources he was going to retire then. He obviously did not.
Can a Trump Republican win in Nevada? I wonder if what's happened to Nevada is the same thing that happened to New Hampshire.Once a reliable Republican state huge numbers from Massachusetts moved up there and took their voting attitudes with them. Now NH sends about the filthiest Rats imaginable to DC.Hasn't the same thing happened in Nevada thanks to denizens of the Golden Showers State?
Heller going down the same road as Hack. Trump lost in Nevada so it’s a lost cause. Might as well lose our way.
For the same reason Trump isn't going to fire Sessions until after November because he wouldn't likely get another AG appointment through the Senate this year. The numbers do look promising that he increases his party's numbers in the general in November.
Heller would be the last to know. He’s just trying to save
his seat.
The confirmation process will be a political campaign for the Democrats. We might as well nominate Cruz. Who better to explain our side.
Boy it would be nice if we could have avoided the Roy Moore disaster. That seat/vote will be pivotal in SCOTUS confirmations.
Roy Moore was unavoidable. We’re that stupid.
Also, many California State employees retire and move to Nevada. No State income tax. Lower cost of living, etc. But they bring their leftist ideals/politics with them.
While I'm not too keen on Ted Cruz his nomination to the SC would be a logical and winnable one IMO. I'd say go for it. I'd hope that he'd be a bit more conservative supporting than Kennedy is.
We the base may not be motivated for YOU. That does not mean we are not motivated. Ted Cruz finally embraced Trump and he got the strongest turnout in that districts history, almost 50% more than the entire Democrat field.
Not sure why this senator’s opinion should be a major story this morning when he apparently has no information beyond the speculation that’s been around for months.
>>Rats will take the Senate in November. If they do you can be sure that DJT will have a bloody fight on his hands to get *any* judge confirmed...particularly for SCOTUS.<<
i predict with 88% certainty that they will go nuclear on SCOTUS picks.
It would be a welcome retirement.
