My wife handles large calibers well. 454 Casull pistols, a .308 T/C Encore pistol and 30-06 rifle with a standard 150 gr load. Neither of us cares to be bruised. I picked up a new Ruger American in 6.5 Grendel last night. It will get the scope off the American in 7.62x39. The American is too light for 7.62x39 with a scope close to your face. That rifle will get a long eye relief scout scope. I favor the steel cased 100 gr 6.5 Grendel Wolf Professional Ammo product. Low recoil and sub-MOA performance. Inexpensive compared to the premium Hornady loads e.g. AMAX 140 gr ELD. The latter are ideal for long range targets.

But, with no food, you have no army.
The two are closely related, just as
they are separate.

No army ever goes to war with only hunting as a source for food.

They kill the farmers’ livestock, etc.

About the way I felt the first time I shot an M-16. Nothing to it. The M-14, on the other hand, is a different animal. Basically a 30-06.

I built my own 30-06 when I was in high school. Took an old military 30-06 and tore it apart. Put a Monte Carlo stock and a Weaver 3x9 scope and still have it today. Did all of my own reloading, so ammo was never a problem. Was able to get all of the military brass I wanted. Just had to ream out the primer hole and sometimes trim the brass, but it all worked.

That wasn’t my point, but you are
certainly allowed yours. When the
2ND amendment was drafted, just about
the only way to feed yourself, was to
hunt, as there were not a lot of domestic
food sources (for meat), and certainly
in not enough quantity to feed an army.
Washington’s troops nearly starved to death.

what an idiotic sign - there are PLENTY of weapons in Donald Trump’s work place. As for this woman’s work place what does Trump have to do with her private employer banning guns. If she is one of this unteachable students why don’t you ask the SCHOOL BOARD?

I weighed 120 lbs soaking wet when I joined the Army. At that time the M-14 was a little much for me although I did manage to qualify. A year later I was in better shape and when I got orders for Vietnam and had to qualify with the M-16, I shot expert first time out. Quite a difference.

Thank you.
It’s hard to imagine that fifty years have passed. My wife and I got married two weeks after I came back. We will have a half century in July.
