“”He’s pocketing $150,000 tax dollars per week, Plus.””

Come on - that can’t be true...He’d earn more in 4 weeks at that rate than the president earns (were he to take the whole paycheck) in a year!!

https://www.quora.com/How-much-will-Robert-Mueller-be-paid-as-Special-Counsel-to-investigate-the-Trumps-campaign-ties-with-Russia

“”I imagine that, as an appointee of the DOJ, his remuneration will be determined by DOJ pay scales and that it will therefore likely be less than the pay of AG Jeff Sessions.

AG Sessions, I believe, is paid at Executive Schedule Level 1, which for 2017 has been set at about $210,000.””

ABC News reports that $5 million of taxpayer funds have gone towards S/P travel, office supplies, and dozens of federal agents, attorneys and staffers.

Mueller’s salary totals $161,900 while senior FBI officials make roughly $130,000 per year.

Republican lawmakers have used the pricetag to denounce Mueller’s probe as a partisan witch-hunt. After President Donald Trump called the investigation “a taxpayer funded charade,” Congressman Steve King came to his defense and called for legislation to avoid “a never-ending investigation that could go on for two presidential terms.”

“For them to say to us, ‘Vote for an open-ended appropriation into a Mueller witch hunt,’ I think you’ll see significant objection there,” Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) told POLITICO in late October.

Jebbie has loser written all over him. But...Hillary surely had contingency plans for him just in case. She was going to shred him and the entire Bush family if she had to.

“If a few in Congress start applying pressure against Mueller, it will help wind that witch hunt down. “

No one who matters is about to pressure Mueller. The Mitch and Paul club are hoping Mueller “gets the goods”. Trump needs to fire Rosenweasel or Sessions to get someone who will get Mueller under control.

Of course they were. He was going to be Romney times ten and would never fight back cause that’s what his managers would tell him to do.

This was a last minute fraud that only worked because they own the media.

“”ABC News reports that $5 million of taxpayer funds have gone towards S/P travel, office supplies, and dozens of federal agents, attorneys and staffers.””

Quite a difference between that and “pocketing” taxpayer dollars. No one would expect an investigation by ANY government official not to have expenses but those aren’t being pocketed by the principal involved.

Why do FReepers believe sources from the mainstream media (ABC) when it suits their mindset but the rest of the time it’s not to be trusted?

The government has been running a corrupt sham for as long as you have been alive. Lies and false promises on top of lies and failures.

***************

We elect people based on false promises, and then after a short time in Washington, they turn into full time professional liars. That is the sad truth.

Once they become inhabitants of the Swamp they never want to leave; a condition that used to be known as Potomac Fever.

“”Welcome to the party. The government has been running a corrupt sham for as long as you have been alive. Lies and false promises on top of lies and failures. And we get the privilege of paying to be lorded over and mocked.””

Which is a long, long time - more years than I want to claim with another birthday later this month - but I still say, it’s really shameful and disgusting to believe that after all these years, we have been fed stories! What have our men gone to war and died for, for crying out loud? More carefully crafted stories?

I watched my parents cry when I was just a kid after they got the news about my mother’s baby brother being killed in January 1942 which turned out to be with later news - on Bataan.

Why in the dickens do we even vote? I know there are some here who say we can’t be pessimistic but how on earth would one suggest not giving in to it? I don’t want to be skeptical or jaded but how can it be prevented? I can’t teach my young grandson to believe things about this country that are now repugnant. I can’t teach him or advise his parents to teach him not to trust anyone in power. Sadly, with every day news, it seems that’s where we are.

Sounds like you have a few years on me, old timer!

I get my good cheer out of having my own mental independence, and teaching that (or trying to) my kids. That, along with a reverence for a God-given gift of life, to glorify God, knowing the world is imperfect (understatement of the day, I suppose).

Mankind and a whole is doomed, on its own failures. That doesn't mean you, or I, or any other individual is personally doomed. Do what you can. Live a decent life, pass it (truth, honesty, integrity, etc.) on to your family and friends.

We tend to focus on the distant government when our lives can be little (or as you and your parents were, much) affected by it. Be upstanding in your neighborhood and community. What is the trite saying, think globally, live locally? Something like that. Keeps me from going batty.

Thanks - great words to live by.....and I don’t know how appropriate it is to call a lady “old timer.” Just kidding. I know that some assume my FR screen name is male but truthfully, I know more women who listen to Rush than men. In CA I was able to listen to him at my desk (9-12)while I worked but after moving cross country - REALLY cross country, my days are too busy trying to just get stuff done. A different time zone makes all the difference. I mostly just listen to him now in the car while I’m running errands. Miss the old coot...

Bray, I do not pretend to be a southeastern, albeit until Q is proven wrong, I will favor his view of things and ‘the plan’...said plan will not stray one iota from the current velocity...though I’d like to see some nooses, life sentences, like, yesterday, that isn’t going to happen.

Brennan is the one to watch out for...he likely is a wet work kind of monster. Hopefully he doesn’t think clearly when angered...I hope his arrogance will be his undoing...Pray for PDJT’s safety, his inner circle and family. This is bloodsport.

Check out the Can Bongino shows #704 705 and 706. Dan has tied all the ends together brilliantly. This was planned in advance, planting Manafort in the Trump campaign with purpose. There is a very deep reason Sessions publicly proclaimed he was not recusing himself from the Cohen, et al investigation.
