I live around them, a cup of warm milk and a nappy change and they’re fine!

The SES is the heart of the enemy.

They understand that a nation begins with ideas. Not with political structure.

They know that a major step in destroying the United States is to establish another nation within it, make of individuals in power who share the anti-America philosophy. As this group expands, it simply replaces the U.S. with their counterfeit version.

What we need is the ability to fire AND easily replace senior government people. I can hear you say “BUT that will allow Democrats to replace conservatives once they regain power”. Well, they do that anyway. They find ways to make life sufficiently hellish for any discovered conservative that they quit. So it doesn’t matter.

What we need is the ability to fire senior people, AND a reduction in the number of people who require Senate approval. Senate approval should be restricted to Cabinet-level secretaries. Maybe their immediate deputies. But below that, it should be the job of the Cabinet secretaries to decide who to appoint.

The average SES’er is not an enemy he/she maybe a fool but not an enemy. They send their kids to school, even go to church, worry about the same day-to-day things you do, you would like them (My neighbors if you met them!). They’re not evil, they’re not Satan worshippers, they’re just people trying to make it through life. (The demonization of people we politically disagree with and don’t even know is getting very tiresome on this site!) Their sole failing is their myopia regarding the rest of the country. I think the reason for that is because so many of them in my neighborhood are second, third, maybe even fourth generation USG employees. Many particularly the women have very few professional life experiences outside of NOVA & Maryland. One positive note at least 1/3 (maybe 40%) have at least some military background so those have traveled more. Please note I have met a lot of big government military types, I work off and on with one guy who is a retired Navy officer who is an out and out socialist! (Got the card and everything!) He’s not evil, he’s not a Satanist he does say foolish things which I point out all the time. Even before he gets his BS socialist explanation out I tell him what he is going to say. He gets mad but we still speak and are sort of friends. He’s even a deacon (or something like that!) in his church.

Ok why am I saying all of this, because they’re just people like your neighbors. They’re not intellectual, they have no particular philosophy, they’re not meeting around the soft drink machine conspiring to establish a communist state. This “knowing” you claim they know. They don’t!

They’re just bureaucratic wasteful dead weight and that’s bad enough to the body politic! No need to dress them up in Beelzebub’s undergarments!

Agreed, but it’ll probably never happen.

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” Barack Hussein Obama, 7/2/2008
They don’t call it a Civil Defense force, that would imply we need (or perhaps that we deserve) defense. The official name is National Civilian Community Corps.

I think of it as the NatCCC, or more simply, as the NatCs...

I never thought of the ses this way.

Its made up of career people of the various agencies that have worked for 20, w5, 30 or more years and have been promotoed to the senoir positions in these agencies.

Its not necessarily shocking. Its not much different than someone working at a private company that long and being promoted into the director levels or above.

Now some agencies are more political than others, sure. But there are ses folks in evety agency and many are far more competent and usually less political than say, political appointees. Political appointees come and go. These people make the places work regardless of the political apointees.

From a friend I know & trust. This is his response:

This is total BS The SES was formed in 1978 but it REPLACED the then grades GS-16, 17 and 18s. There are 7,000 SES positions in the federal government (as there were 16s-18s) and MOST are CAREER positions and you CANNOT burrow into them without it being a matter of public record and controlled by the Office of Personnel Management. AND they made it possible to move an SES, without cause, anywhere in the country…let that sink in… I was in the SES corps for 16 of my 30 years at DOJ/DHS. There weren’t many POS’s that I ran into, and I knew most of the SESers. We regularly met to share solutions that worked in various agaencies to get the best ideas implemented government-wide. They were the managerial class and generally did an excellent job for hirer pay but with much higher risk. So, this is how it SHOULD be done. Could oblunder try to put “willing, weak” GS-14 and 15s in the SES corps to help guide his agenda…? Absolutely, and that’s exactly what every civil servant should be doing…helping the administration accomplish its policy goals without regard to politics. O’a-hole likely tried to stack it with like-minded socialist/communists but they will be moved to Podunk, IA in a heart-beat.

It seems though that they’re at the perfect level of government to weaponize and exploit. Maybe not all or most, but enough, in key areas.

If Obama used this layer of government to weaponize, he could continue his influence years after leaving office.

As long as there are partisan politics there will always be some there! For example Lerner was there being politically corrupt violating the Hatch Act long before Zero showed up. When she was at the FEC she committed some egregious violations of the Hatch Act and was not punished. Withdrawing certification via an Executive Order of Federal Unions (it can be done! JFK’s EO allowed them in!) will go a long way to get that under control. It will never be completely gone! I do agree that Zero was the one who really “weaponized” these positions. However breaking the law to solve the problem by arbitrarily firing people just because they’re Rats isn’t the solution. Reducing the number of SES slots is legal and a solution, you do have to offer them a GS15 step 10. (Many of them won’t take it because their egos will be true bruised to do so.) Then later RIF agencies, all legal and the proper way to do it.

Enforce the Hatch Act & de-unionize FedGov will do wonders!

Like I said before, and like we’ve known for a long time on this site: there are those who pull the strings and then there are the useful idiots.

If you take a little time to speak to some of the bureaucrats in the various agencies, you’ll come to understand that many of them have been swindled into believing the anti-American rhetoric of the past half century.

They look the other way while still supporting the puppet masters who commit the crimes and genocides.

Agree but for the foreseeable future the Democratic Party is run by radicals that will attempt to weaponize this layer every time.

I guess you’re right about the Hatch Act, it needs to be used.

You’re not going to stop the Rat party that’s what they do.
As long as they legally exist, they’re going to be doing it.

Actually it would not make any difference if the Rat party was declared a criminal organization and outlawed. There will always be a class of people who want to manipulate, direct and make a living off the efforts of others. That living could be off the property of others as well as there labor. And of course there’s a significant subclass of that group that just loves bossing people around - validates their existence.

So the bottom line is all you can do is put rules in place to try and control this activity. You have to enforce those rules something lately we have failed to do. Primarily because we’re worried we will offend some minority.

This made me laugh. You always see people who never click through to view the source before commenting, and basically reiterating something addressed in the source. Now they aren’t even reading past the title to comment!

Could we be getting any more ADD?
