Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert has been appointed to acting under secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. The Under Secretary for Political Affairs is currently the third ranking position in the United States Department of State, after the Secretary and the two Deputy Secretaries.
***the third ranking position in the United States Department of State***
Slightly different titles, maybe not as big of a job as I thought. We’ll have to see what position it is EXACTLY.
Yes, that was at Middle Tennessee State University. I believe that Nauert had been an intern at FNC, and then went to that school to attend Gore's class.

Okay, here’s what I found, an organizational chart of the state department.

It looks to me that her new position is one of six that report directly to the Secretary of State. It appears it is a State Department version of the “cabinet”.
The Secretary of State’s “cabinet”.
A very BIG job I’d say.
Oops, got the college venue wrong.
I thought Heather’s star power was evident then.
I skimmed the article at first the job wasn’t mentioned until the last paragraph of the excerpt. I was, obviously, way, way too quick on the trigger.
(As has been pointed out....several times.)
I will wait until after the second cup of coffee to post from now on! :-)
The OP is very poorly written. The attempt to hide the snark failed.
Hey Frances, lighten the eff up.
How many times do I have to apologies for missing the lead in a horribly written story?
The next time you get the urge to attack someone, why dont you go back to hitting your wife.
And an IQ of over 150 if I remember right.
WOW!
Beauty, personality and brains - she's got it all!
