At one time, Miami-Dade required you show a recent electric bill.

A pollster hired by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach testified Monday that a survey of 500 adults he conducted found just one person who couldn't produce a document proving U.S. citizenship.

No, he found just one person who ADMITTED that he/she couldn't produce a document proving U.S. citizenship. Not one of those people actually DID produce the document, they only said they could.

If I WAS an illegal, of course I would tell a pollster that I had the necessary papers because I knew they wouldn't demand to see them.

This is BS Fake news.

Of course if you ASK registered voters if they can produce proof, they will respond with a “yes”. That’s not the issue. What’s important is how many can produce proof when it’s REQUIRED.

No, this is testimony at a trial challenging the KS law requiring proof of residency to register to vote. The Lefties, of course, don't want such a requirement. They want us to think that since "most" people can do it easily, then nobody should have to do it at all. This is highly misleading polling used as evidence before a judge in an attempt to override the Rule of Law.

The best rebuttal analogy is above, where Da Coyote wrote, "since the vast majority of doctors out there can show their med school degrees, we no longer have to care whether or not our physician has one then?"

She was more right than most would think. Election laws for state offices and local issues are determined by each state.

Election laws for President, Senate, and Representative are controlled by the feds. Clinton motor voter and the later Bush help America vote act makes it illegal for a person to ask if you are a citizen. It lets the registration form ask these three questions.

Are you 18 .....
Are you a felon .....
Are you a citizen ....

It states it is a felony to answer incorrectly.

If you think this is not true, go online to your state’s voter registration.

I laugh when they argue about having to show ID to vote when most people don’t know you do not have to prove citizenship to register. BVB
