Pop megastar Taylor Swift, in a rare political statement, came out in strong support on Friday for the Parkland student-led campaign for gun control in a lengthy social media post.
“No one should have to go to school in fear of gun violence. Or to a nightclub. Or to a concert. Or to a movie theater. Or to their place of worship,” Swift wrote an Instagram post. “I’ve made a donation to show my support for the students, for the March For Our Lives campaign, for everyone affected by these tragedies, and to support gun reform.”

And where was everyone, as the youth gangs have laid waste to big areas of our major cities, with their drive by shootings and God knows what else criminal activity?
I would amend what she says, and say that nobody should be in fear walking down the street on the south side of Chicago, in addition to not being fearful in those other places.
Well, Taylor has always appeared to be Apolitical.

I laid awake all last night wondering how Ms. Swift felt about this
everyone wants gun control but nobody talks about the home violence, bullying and cracks in the mental health/school system that starts the ball rolling towards tragedy

Nothing gets these politicians and celebrities more agitated than 17 white kids getting gunned down.
Not only are they hypocrites (as others have pointed out, Taylor Swift runs around with her own armed guards), but they're racists, too.
