Because of the $700 & $716 Billion Dollars gotten to rebuild our Military, many jobs are created and our Military is again rich. Building a great Border Wall, with drugs (poison) and enemy combatants pouring into our Country, is all about National Defense. Build WALL through M!

I think it’s less about Stockholm Syndrome, and more about blackmail, bribery, and greed.

Would they fall for the blackmail, bribery and greed if it weren't for the constant Swamp message that those practices are the norm in the Swamp and, by extension, the country?

I think that it is time to stop doing business in DC. With modern technology, Congress can telework and teleconference to get their jobs done--and they wouldn't be subjected to the constant pressure to submit to the Socialist/globalist agenda. But they would be among their constituents, who presumably would be reminding them daily of why they were elected.

“The Wall is the Rubicon. If Trump is able to build the wall, he will have won in more ways than one (no pun intended).”

I agree - it is a HUGE visual image. It won’t go away. It will last through many (God forbid) democrat presidencies and congresses.

He’ll have really left a legacy - something other presidents just talk about.

Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.

He just took control of the money.

“At the risk of being called an “idiot” and “Hillary lover” again, though, I have to wonder why he also hoodwinked his own base. What was the point of the “I might veto this” tweet? Why did he look so defeated and miserable on Friday if he’d really pulled a BIG one on the RATS? Why wasn’t he standing up there with Swampers McConnell and Ryan (and I still have a hard time believing EITHER of them would participate in anything that would really help DJT!) giving Chuck ‘n’ Nancy the proverbial finger? Something still doesn’t seem right, to me.”

Ditto. And Ryan and McConnell would NEVER go along with building the wall, since they love their illegals more than us citizens. IMO.

Maybe it’s something he figured out after tweeting he would veto it?

And then there’s that amendment that military funding could be used to build the wall that was added...maybe he got that one through himself, making this possible.

Degenerates run because county, state and federal party apparatchiks like it that way. They can’t control an honorable man or woman. Pols arrive in DC as degenerates. Not born or made...elected.

As for moving the swamp outta DC...I live in NYS. Albany, our capital, is only a few hours drive from where I live and it’s still a cesspool. It’s less about distance, more about degeneracy.

Geo. Washington was right. Political parties are a menace.

I think he looked relaxed on Friday. Pissed, but relaxed, too.

He’s probably trolling the media if anything. It’s the whole Art of War thing: make yourself look weak and vulnerable so to throw your enemies off track.

He knows we’d figure it out before the end of the weekend.

Which we did !

Some even figured it out by dinnertime on Friday — like me!

“You might be a few steps behind. He has been saying Drugs are pouring across the borders in alarming numbers since he election. DOD spending on the wall language was slipped into the last $700 billion defense bill. He declared a drug crisis a national emergency in December. On Friday he sent Congress a letter taking about 145 billion (if memory serves) from the just passed omnibus and reallocated it to the national emergency. Now from his tweet it seems clear that he is using the military to help stop the national emergency . (He added to prevent enemy combatants from entering the country for good measure). It seems to me that this has been the strategy for almost a year. If the Dems start crowing about that tweet you’ll know they are catching on. This will continue to play out but make no mistake; Trump hasn’t “thrown us under the bus””

TY for your summary. Put into perspective like this, it is masterful ;)

I don’t think they have any say in the matter. It’s a spending bill, not a budget.

I also think he figured it all out with Mattis beforehand.

And it’s also quite possible many people in Congress are up to speed on this as well.

“Trump loves to create rollercoaster drama.”

I’m going to remember that the next time I question what he is doing.

It happened with DACA, it happened now, - seems to me he lets the liberals of both parties think they have won big. He even lets the base thing that.

Then he tweets something to let us know he’s had the master plan all along. He might have had to give a little, because that’s how negotiations work. But he gets more than he gives.

A large part of my negative reaction last Friday was not only because we’d been given false hope with the “I might veto this” tweet, but the way he presented the signed bill and then the little bones he threw us later in the day about banning trannies in the military and sending Chuck Schumer to Mars (or something like that). I admit, part of that reaction might have also been thanks to listening to the first couple hours of Rush, where he said again and again that this bill had been crafted specifically to destroy Trump, should he sign it, and describing it as a complete and utter defeat and capitulation to the swamp.

Trump’s tweet this morning implying that the military would, indeed, be used to build the wall (and thereby suggesting that the stories about diverting money earmarked for the military for that purpose are true) was a very good thing - but, color me cynical - I need more. I need to see the wall being built. I need to see Chuck and Nancy throwing tantrums. I need to see David Hogg stand up there and announce that if we build a wall he’s going to start another revolution. Whatever. I need to hear Rush to admit he was wrong, too (not to mention Ann Coulter).

When things don't seem to make sense, question your assumptions.

Imho, DJT wasn't as 'defeated and miserable' as he was leading the enemy to believe.
Having been a TV guy for awhile, he knows a little something about the acting game.

Perhaps, but why act? He’d already signed the bill. He could gloat all he wanted to, and there was nothing the RATS could do about it. All he did by “acting” like that is to demoralize his own base.

He knew that his true base would keep the faith through more than this one hiccup.
I'm betting that were still a couple Ts that needed crossing, likely re timing, before the hole cards were played.

When you pour some concrete, avoid the tempation to walk on it til it's set.

“From what I’ve seen, fence repair and some barrier replacements are starting Monday.”

The Secure Fence Act was passed in 2006, Passed 80 to 19. That’s before the rats decided they needed a new dependent downtrodden to control for votes. We’ll see.

It’s not a budget- it’s a spending bill. Does that act covers spending bill?

With our POTUS-VSG
You must watch him carefully.
What you THINK you see, is not necessarily what you’ll get.
He’s told us (in his braggadocios manner) that he has the ability to read a contract and OFTEN sees the way he can make a negative work for him to create a POSITIVE. The LORD has given this man more than we can comprehend. And HE is not One to be questioned. How fortunate this generation is to be here at this time personally seeing the Glory of GOD. His Miracles, we see daily. To doubt is no longer acceptable.
