For most of the 20th century, most British Jews voted for the Labour Party. It seemed like a natural fit. This was a party that championed religious minorities, emphasized workers rights, and condemned anti-Semitismall stances that appealed to a Jewish population that grew along with immigration from Europe. Yet now, a spate of anti-Semitic scandals is plaguing the left-wing party, and many British Jews are fed up with its leaderships perceived failure to address the problem.

What!? This is a myth. Labor was in bed with Hitler. Labor is only returning back to its Nazi roots after the façade of make over deception is finally falling off
Soon democrats to follow
Antisemitism in the political left wing? I’m shocked! Shocked, I say!
This Jew asks the question:
What does it take for Liberal Jews to seriously ascertain the truth? Why have the British and
American Jews been voting solidly for the Left when it is in their worst interest? How much blood must be spilt before the Jewish eyes fully open?
The Dems were right up there with Labour when they were turning away ships full of Jews in 1939.
Women respond to threats of violence.
They became, thanks to Lord Chamberlain, like American DEMOCRATS.
What is the secular basis of Judaism? Practical need; self-interest. What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly god? Money. Very well, then! Emancipation from huckstering and money, consequently from practical, real Judaism, would be the self-emancipation of our time. [ ]Never mind there only being a political left, since to them there is no difference between political and social.
The monotheism of the Jew, therefore, is in reality the polytheism of the many needs, a polytheism which makes even the lavatory an object of divine law. Practical need, egoism, is the principle of civil society, and as such appears in pure form as soon as civil society has fully given birth to the political state. The god of practical need and self-interest is money.
Money is the jealous god of Israel, in face of which no other god may exist. Money degrades all the gods of man and turns them into commodities. Money is the universal self-established value of all things. It has, therefore, robbed the whole world both the world of men and nature of its specific value. Money is the estranged essence of mans work and mans existence, and this alien essence dominates him, and he worships it.
The god of the Jews has become secularized and has become the god of the world. The bill of exchange is the real god of the Jew. His god is only an illusory bill of exchange.
Karl Marx, On The Jewish Question, 1844
Labour, like the US Democrats, see that Muslims have more money to contribute than Jews do. Jews need to understand that, while they may love the Left, the Left does not love them back anymore.
Any Jew who would live anywhere in Europe after WWII is insane.
A rabbi once told me, “in America you can be liberal without being Jewish, but you can’t be Jewish without being liberal”.
Muslims are the new most pitiable victims, so they’re given higher moral status than Jews.
Actually, the Jews in the UK, Canada and Australia have not been voting for the Left recently. They have been voting for the Tories in the UK and Canada, or the Liberals in Australia (The Liberal Party is on the right side of the political spectrum in Australia). If these parties are really conservative is, of course, another question.
The voting behavior of the American Jews seems to be an anomaly. Some people say that it is an openly-Christian character of the Republican Party (or its connection to the Religious Right) that repels many Jewish voters.
On the contrary, Nazi sympathisers and appeasers in the UK were almost exclusively found among the Tories and the right. Labour was always hostile to Hitler, and consistently opposed appeasement..
Keep in mind also, that there’s a LOT of mudslime money invested in the City of London, more so, on a population basis, than the U.S. Politicians being the usual scum they are (not always) are quite happy to kow tow to islamofacists in the ME. Ideology is the main driver but money talks.
I heard a quot some years back that said when some Jews hear “Christian America, they see barbed wire”.
Of course, there were British Jews of Eastern European descent who were Labour or socialist or even Communist, but most British Jews were involved in business (often small businesses) and they weren't keen on socialism or high taxes.
They didn't fit into the working class culture that Old Labour championed, and strange as it may seem to us today, Labour and the Liberals before them were more Evangelical than the Conservatives.
The Tories had supporters of the Established Church, but the Liberals and later Labour had the real Evangelical believers.
Anyway, British Jews were less likely to be on the left than American or French Jews.
False. Some labor liked Hitler, others were under order from Moscow to consider Hitler as a Moscow ally
I’m afraid you have a very slight understanding of the nature of the Labour Party in the 1930s if you believe that. Insofar as there was any influence of Moscow on Labour (and remember that British Labour was far less influenced by Marxism than the socialist parties of the European Continent, having its roots far more in the social justice movements of the late 19th century and in noncomformist Christianity), that influence was hostile to Nazism right up to the time of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.
British Labour was equally hostile to the British Communist Party, which was obviously far more influenced by Moscow. (You have only to look at the output of the Left Book Club, the British socialist think-tank of the time - it’s almost entirely composed of anti-Nazi and pro-Russian tracts).
Although Mosley himself had briefly joined Labour in his journey from Conservative to leader of the British Union of Fascists, there were no parliamentary defections from Labour to that group.
The pacifist wing of Labour lost control with the defeat of Lansbury as leader. From 1935, under Dalton and Bevin, and prompted by the Spanish Civil War, Labour in the Commons voted consistently for rearmament and against appeasement.
Certainly there are more Muslim votes.
