Its interesting...Foster said he only gets assigned to home games and he's one of about a dozen emergency goalies the Blackhawks rely on. So about once a month or so he gets paid to sit in the press box, eat dinner and watch the game.
Foster also plays goalie in an amateur hockey league so he not rusty, but no where near the level of the NHL.

Not bad for a 36-year-old guy who had not played competitive hockey since his four-year career at Western Michigan University ended in 2006

Interestingly, I think he’s assigned to the rink, not the team. If the opposing team needed the emergency goalie, he would have been suiting up for them!
