Amazon is a monopoly and should be broken up.
I've had that thought, too, but then I ask myself: Amazon is a monopoly on...what, exactly?
Books? CDs? computer cables? Air fresheners? Office supplies? Accent furniture? Lamps? They sell everything.
Also, in recent months I have found myself sometimes (not always) using Amazon for "window shopping" for reviews and then finding the items I want on another web site at lower prices and cheaper shipping. Amazon is not always the best option.

I've had that thought, too, but then I ask myself: Amazon is a monopoly on...what, exactly? They ruined it for Woolworth's. Because of Sears and J.C. Penny. And Caldor!
I don't mind Amazon dominating the market for a while. Eventually a Walmart or some other competitor will rise. What I mind is when they expand in to production and media (free advertising), and who knows what else, that I think the monopoly/ trust busting rules should kick in.
