Schaeffer’s story is a sad one. His father was renowned evangelical philosopher Francis Schaeffer.
For a time, Frankie was a man like his father. Then he claimed to convert to Eastern Orthodox. But he was an angry man about it. EO believers I encountered were reluctant to use him as an example of a believer.
Now he has gone completely against Christ, if the headline is accurate. Very sad.
His father, Francis Schaeffer, was one of the foremost Christian apologists who was very conservative and pro-life. He died in the ‘80s and would be turning over in his grave now. His son, Frank, went on to trash his own father regarding his Christianity as well. So this guy is a real peach.

Also, Frank Shaeffer's characterization of David Hoggs, comments were total propaganda—deliberately ignoring Hoggs profane and malicious statements—statements which amounted to nothing more than vicious slander of groups like the NRA and the individuals who compose its membership.
Any journalist with the slightest modicum of integrity is duty-bound to correct a power-mad child who behaves so shamefully. To uncritically air such raw, misguided hatred is a palpable disservice to this immature young man's spiritual and moral development.
