Always love how atheists are always willing to explain the Bible to Christians.

Funny isn’t it? I think the same thing.

Now he has gone completely against Christ, if the headline is accurate.

But he claims to believe in God. A god-fearing atheist ... I can’t wrap my head around that.

Not really. Most atheists were religious before ‘converting,’ and are quite familiar with what they don’t believe.

Jesus was not all love and kisses. He had a few choice words for hypocrites like the mouth-of-the-south boy and those who support his juvenile bullying. So did other prophets:

John the Baptist refused to give hypocrites a pass, telling them to produce “fruits worthy of repentance” (Luke 3:8). Jesus took an equally staunch stand against sanctimony—He called hypocrites “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15), “whitewashed tombs” (Matthew 23:27), “snakes,” and “brood of vipers” (Matthew 23:33).

‘No one from that group has cracked a bible long enough to understand what it is.’

actually, a number of non believers are quite conversant with Scripture...

what teaching of Jesus does this guy mean? He doesn’t say specifically that I saw in the article. Jesus taught a lot of things but most people get stuck on the love your neighbor thing which was not the great commandment. Love God was the great commandment. everything else is after that.

I doubt God feels loved by some teen spouting about gun control when the teen has his own out of control issues and likely doesn’t even believe in God.

this athiest author and Joy have their own issues about loving God themselves -

loving your neighbor but not loving God doesn’t cut it in the end when Judement day comes.

The Left have a lot in common with islamic-terrorists as BOTH are extremely fond of using children as human shields.

“quite conversant with Scripture...”

Being conversant and actually doing the study are two different things. Most political candidates use the teleprompter and these atheist talking heads you see are the same. And memorizing information to use in conversation is a common practice. Many kids get by on tests in school by memorizing phrases for test questions. But they in most situations don’t understand and/or don’t retain the information involved. This is why a lot of kids come out of high school illiterate with nothing more than this process or tool to get by.

Franky Shaeffer’s illogical tome reflects a deep anger at his parents, I believe. He has not forgiven his parents, esp. his father, for being neglected as a child.
