If the challenge is getting people who voted for President Trump to vote this year, then we need to start working on organizing the base now so the 60 million+ who voted in 2016 vote in November. It’s going to take some work, but it can be done. We just need a lot of people who are commenting online to shift that enthusiasm to local, state, and national races. We can’t all go door to door, but candidates need people to make phone calls. We can volunteer on the weekends. We can purchase their shirts and stickers because people often just vote for a candidate with name recognition. Campaigning doesn’t mean we have to quit our jobs, it just means we may have to stop watching television or cutting hobbies until after the election.
