Now they can put away all of those “will work for food” signs.

Lawmakers are poised this month to wage a major battle over the House version of the Farm Bill, which will call for work requirements in the federal food stamp program that serves the poor. ( the vast majority of Farm Bill funds spending is on food stamps)... In the 2014 legislation, SNAP’s 10-year cost was $756 billion, or 80% of the entire $956 billion bill

“Go get a damn job.”............

Problem is there aren’t enough jobs those free loaders would even qualify for. Most have “zero” experience from ANY job thereby automatically putting them below the “recommended for hire” bar. My bet is they DO NOT WANT TO WORK.

Our standard of living has fallen so far that many people working low-wage jobs qualify for food stamps.

Socialists just love to have you dependent on the government, just can’t offend any potential voter.

When I was still on the Job I would ask youthful men hanging out in the projects why they weren’t working. They would literally laugh at me. Are you kidding? Why do I want to work and lose all these freebies? Made me sick to my stomach. Parasites is all they are and we have our government to blame.

I have done a lot of work on public housing projects.
Two scenarios are common;

1.Baby momma stays home with her litter from who knows what or whom. Baby daddy deals drugs and lives the thug life..
Housing and everything supplied by us.

2. If you ask all the able bodied young skinnies why they are not working they say....I work third shift. Yeah, right.

“Welfare luxury state needs to be dismantled. And I say luxury because for many who have zero skills and ambition, theres no incentive for them to ever quit or want to stop receiving free money comfiscated from working people who are doing their best to be self-sustining.”

Agree. The US is now approaching full employment. In fact, some regions are experiencing a labor shortage. But, the national labor participation rate remains stuck at about 62 ~ 63%. Why is that? It’s because of institutional multi-generational welfare receipiants. In order to force these people back into the workforce their benefits must be squeezed and make their lives uncomfortable on welfare. When it hurts enough they’ll go back to work for sure....

Ummm, wasn’t it Zero whom unilaterally expunged the work-requirement? IOW, it’s still technically Law as he had no authority to abolish, let alone ignore.

I mean we ARE talking unconst., non A1S8, Right violating ‘programs’ to begin.

We have (somehow) traded Freedom for (economic) slavery

Nailbiter, Congress has SNAP shoved into the farm bill so the country can feel good about passing a huge farm bill...or feel really angry because they believe the farmers are getting a trillion dollars. Just to recap: 80% goes to SNAP!!!!
Next we can take a look at the subsidies that get paid out, of which a huge % goes to people who live inside the beltway.

hence heavy sarcasm on post

40yrs back went to see a Christian comedienne, at beginning of show had everyone standup then had said to reach into pocket of person in front you and take their wallet and money- His take on govt- my opinion has not changed much from that time- if at all it has gotten worse.

I tell people I know ,that I have more respect for stickup artists, than politicians, at least you know the intent of the stickup artist- with politicians you know they are going to take your money just do not know how

Knock it down to $500 and use military planes to take them into Central America. Do Biometric ID on them so we can jail those who even TRY to return to USA.

Build WALL as high & deep as necessary and keep military there as long s it takes. We have military in Afghanistan & other countries for over 10 years.

You are correct about those not having any skills. BUT—I have a theory that there are so many of these EBT cheats visible all over the country that when the first shooting starts, the vigilantes will take them out first.

And, add a big screen TV with cable...

SO tired of being behind Lone Star credit card users at the grocery who use this food stamp card for their groceries. After buying whatever this card will get them for free, they pay cash for the rest and their tobacco. Hence, they mostly work 20+ hours a week anyway, just do everything in cash so they can keep a low income profile.

Almost all preemie babies are put on Medicaid, a deal with insurance companies. Then, SNAP comes along and keeps the kids fed with sugary snacks for around 3-6 years. They tell you to let your child have one preemie problem and that brings in all the benefits of home care therapists who pass this little prop around to their friends. Guilt the parents and school systems follow cause it is easy.

Love to follow the food stamp folks out to the parking lot. Amazing that they have newer trucks (!!!) and cars more expensive than mine...sickens me actually. They take our dollars freely through government and cash under the table and won’t even speak English!!! They also know that those who sit in state and federal government chairs are there to help them as they want to keep their chairs and easy paychecks. Blood on those who sit in chairs as they have taken life from these lazy folks and handed them over to Satan who joys in this way of life. He thinks the more in his kingdom, He will win.......glad I know this isn’t true!!!

What line I am in at the end of our life matters to me eternally! Note, it won’t be a government benefit line!!!

Umm if you are able bodied why are you on food stamps at all?

Go get a damn job.

Agree in general, but there are exceptions. When Obammunist policies shut down the coal mines there were lots of able-bodied miners out of work and few jobs for which to train them without their relocating. They are the ones for whom the program was intended, not the babymamas and their hoodrat boyfriends, the illegals and their offspring or the trailer park methheads.

The ‘full employment’ number is as bogus now as it was under Obama and Bush, when more and more people just stopped being counted as part of the labor force. Yep.
