Jonathan Swan ✔ @jonathanvswan Oh boy. We heard rumors last night which we still havent been able to confirm that Trump wanted him to join his legal team. https://twitter.com/maggienyt/status/983814692782116864

Alan Dershowitz: This is a very dangerous day today for lawyer-client relations. I deal with clients all the time. I tell them on my word of honor all the time that what you tell me is sacrosanct. And now they say, just based on probable cause, even though they know there was cooperation, with Cohen. They can burst into an office grab all the computers. Then give it to another FBI agent and say, Youre the firewall. We want you to now read all these confidential communications. Tell us which ones we can get and which ones we cant get. You know, if the shoe were on the other foot, if this were Hillary Clinton being investigated and they went in her lawyers office the ACLU would be on every television station in America, jumping up and down. The deafening silence of the ACLU and civil libertarians about the intrusion into the lawyer-client confidentiality is appalling.

I want Trump to nominate Dershowitz to replace Mueller and watch the Dems' heads explode!
ML/NJ
I consider it highly unlikely that Dershowitz would accept. But he has surprised me lately.
He could do a lot worse than to hire Dershowitz, though there’s some question as to if he would even accept since he’d probably lose all of his friends. I recall him already saying that they were all mad at him for not waiving the #resistance pompoms, but maybe they’ve already washed their hands of him.
There isn’t enough popcorn in all the world for that show.
Alan Dershowitz was Epsteins lawyer and was on the manifest for the Lolita Express His conversations with Epstein are privileged, but his observations about others is not. Perhaps the talking about Israel is just a cover for ratting out the Pedos of Pedo Island. Alan said this was a previously scheduled meeting. Was the raid on Cohen a warning not to extract information from Alan Dershowitz?
Nope He is for letting the hag walk
I will give this to Dershowitz. Aside from his political views, he is an absolutist when it comes to the Bill of Rights and proper court and legal procedure. These are the things that are supposed to protect all of us from abuse of power.
This recent action may well be a blatant abuse of the 4th and 6th Amendments.
Where are Trump’s lawyers?? These are his confidential communications and they should be in court on this. They seem to do nothing.
I’d characterize Dershowitz as an honest liberal...Trump could do a lot worse.
I know that this guy has been pretty supportive of Trump these days. But I keep reading the he took a lot of trips on the Lolita express. Any truth to that?
Dersh is in trouble per The Lolita Express and as a Native Beantowner.. he makes me ill..this is an attempt at “Redemption” on his part.
More Evil at hand, he was at the WH according to him.
They only discussed “Israel and the M.E.
I have liked recent comments by Alan, but I wouldn’t trust the guy for an appointment.
He could really hurt the president if he drifted. I wouldn’t give him that chance.
Consult with him to find appropriate actions to take, but keep him at an arm’s distance.
That would be rather humorous.
An interesting move, great choice really.
Good.
I am sure Trump and Dershowitz can work out the details.
Fair weather attorneys who are too much of the swamp and establishment to serve Trump adequately.
The only reason Dershowitz has been out in the media so much recently is to protect the Clintons.
When he argues that the investigation of team Trump is out of control, he often then goes on to draw an equivalence between Trump and the Clintons and to argue against the “criminalization of politics.”
Of course the Clintons and Trump are not in an equivalent position. Trump is being framed by the deep state using the phony Steele dossier and corruptly using the DOJ/FBI to go on a fishing expedition against him and his associates.
The Clintons on the other hand are implicated in gross criminality and abuse of power, from Hillary’s mishandling of government secrets, destruction of evidence, pay-to-play, and on and on.
To argue that the Clintons should be exempt from accountability for their real crimes is to say that they are truly above the law, and that the rule of law is dead in America. Yet that is Dershowitz’s position.
Trump is in more trouble than I thought if the best advice he can get is from a liberal pedo.

Sessions wasnt fooled into Recusal.
Sessions is working directly with Mueller.
