The media can make a couple of dozen demonstrators look like half a city, or make thousands look like nothing.
Since the media works for the left, even if these rallies have huge attendance, there will be minimal media covereage.
Therefore, I cannot see attending them as the best use of one's time. Travel to and from, and the rally itself will chew up 4 hours or more to little effect.
If you did some other political activity for 4 hours, it probably would have a greater impact.
I don't think that is the case. I think that leftists can count on the media to give lots of favorable coverage to their demonstrations, so that attending a demonstration is effective political action. For conservatives, that is not the case.

“Some notes on the rally in Richmond THIS Saturday. It is being held at the Bell Tower on the Capitol grounds starting at 2 pm (9th and Bank St.):
1. Bring your family, including your children!
2. Signs are fine, but they cannot be on a stick - you must hold them. They can’t be stuck in the ground or attached to any trees, fixtures, or buildings in the area.
3. You can open carry or you can conceal carry with a CHP.

7. The first hour, which starts at 2 pm, will have various invited speakers talking about, amongst other things, how the Second Amendment has protected them or their loved ones. At 3 pm there will be an hour intermission, which required when using the venue. That time can be used for fellowship. For example, how being able to own and carry a gun has affected your life or the lives of your loved ones - from making you more secure to saving your life. One would almost think that the idea is really to get about a dozen or so people who have nothing else to do on Saturday afternoon, on such insulting short notice, to show up at each state Capitol and look like a bunch of dorks for the TV cameras.
Just sayin'.
Would someone in Texas answer my question? Can we carry our weapon with us? Open...or concealed?
I asked for tomorrow off 2 weeks ago when I saw the original announcement, but later the facebook page said they were calling it off because it was too late and not enough organization. Today the facebook page is unavailable. The link to the Colorado discussion group requires me to sign in. Now it appears that facebook has disabled my account and won’t let me submit an appeal. Is there any organization for Denver, permits pulled, police made aware? I still want to go but I’ve been the lone supporter one too many times, you know what I mean?
And by the way, today is not the first time this has been announced on FR. I heard about it 2 weeks ago here.
